I suggest to revive old coins with great names. So far, the Groestl algorithm is currently considered the coolest mining algorithm.

a good test of our self-regulating network security measurements
for now POS is perfectly securing the network the POS blocks are the only one stable getting accepted
by network until POW issues solved
if its a attack or another issue we will explain after we finished analysis
if u wana help make sure ur wallet is open in mint mode

update:

effects on userbase
- network is slower because pos time is slower so transactions can need a bit longer
- please mine via http://multipool.bit.diamonds/  until we give info about stabilized the POW issue and direct mining is again possible without issues

there is no fork issue and no stuck network issue
in my opinion a perfect prove that hybrid POW/POS was very valuable once again

:-)  Always open and always minting!  I love diamonds!

Did something crash?  Net Hash Rate = 735 mhs and Danbi's pool hash rate is 2303 mhs as per 7:33am EST.  Oh and difficulty is down to 12.

Yes, apparently some PoW attack attempt on the coin. Nothing to be worried about, it will get back to normal soon.

regarding give http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ users and dmd cloudmining users alternative ways to earn  lotto tickets
we choose following solution:

soon any account who had a incoming BTC deposit (which will be auto converted by DMD multipool towards DMD)
will recieve for that day a bonus ticket

this way even people who use not wafflepool or nicehash will be able earn some DMD Multipool Lotto tickets
and each dmd cloudmining account can expect a small share of his payouts being delivered daily so he also earns a ticket each day

hint for lazy instant investors without mining gear by send BTC
towards ur http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ BTC address
u will get it automated converted into DMD and send towards ur wallet

but i strongly suggest instead of instant invest u choose lifetime DMD payouts
by  invest into DMD Cloudmining for questions email [email protected]

regarding DMD multipool and nicehash sha256 mining
nicehash have good BTC payout but is a bit unstable
i suggest following setup

user nicehash as primary pool
with ur DMD multipool btc address as user
and use multipool.us as backuppool with ur DMD multipool btc address
as btc payout address (set towards daily payout)

this way u use the best reward sha256 pool
with a good backup and earn with everything DMD

DMD Multipool Lotto
earn lotto numbers for free
when u mine at DMD Multipool
next drawing 5. Oktober 100 DMD

in case u own no asics
(or u wana increase ur DMD mining capacity
with a stress free non maintenance required solution)

Strange stability DMD. All coins slowly but rising, DMD stand still.
I'm afraid to even imagine how much will need to wait until the price 0.0005, not to mention the 0.005
ruefully
lets hear ur opinion regarding value gains again end of october  Cool

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/pair/dmd/btc/cryptsy/6-months

i dont know what u see here
i see the ideal time to buy in
into direct DMD or into DMD cloudmining (which have more longterm impact and gains)
the yellow line clear show where the journey will go now

and i think like a preacher i say here everyday once DMD cloudmining will kick in with buy orders at october

the raise of diamond is unavoidable

wait when the raise started and looks to be stable lead to to the well known greed & fear syndrom

better u follow the buy low sell high plan  Cool
but be careful never sell to much might be u not able buy back cheaper than u sold
only sell into unhealthy spikes not in healthy growth

Online since '89...

I see.
Tried with another router and looks the same.
Sad I can't contribute with a dynamic IP... 99.99% of people have such IPs.

Does restarting the wallet after this situation helps? If so, we might try to force periodic UPNP re-negotiation in the wallet to recover from such situations.

yes it usually does, that's what I was thinking.

Could also be you Virus Protection software. I have seen several protection programs do this when they see an inbound connection they don't like, it gets blocked for period of time. Don't know what OS your running on but, Windows Firewall will also do this.

I was looking at the output of getpeerinfo in the last few days and I noticed a strange behavior: initially there are some inbound connections, then after some hours there are no more until I restart the wallet.
Is it normal? Am I still contributing to the network without inbound connections?

i have a 24/7 online wallet with 47 inbound connections at the moment
cant reproduce the behavior u describe

what conf u use?

noirc=1
listen=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=54.191.208.14
addnode=54.255.133.30
bantime=600

Did you try disconneting it for a moment? I wonder if it's because UPNP nat is lost when there is a disconnect and it isn't resent to the router afterwords.

I believe this is bug in your router's UPNP implementation, or is somehow related to IP address renewal. The wallet always accepts connections, but in your setup the router has to refresh it's NAT tables, which it probably does not do.

In general, I would advise against listen=1 for nodes that use dynamic IP addresses (unless it's home network behind the same external address). This is because other nodes maintain a list of IP addresses of nodes that were connected and broadcast that list to other nodes etc. Each node then tries to connect to each and every address in this list (one after another) which would waste resources and slow down the network convergence if there are many 'dead' nodes.

DMD Multipool now guarantee anonymity all wallet addresses beside the own on all account stats as requested by users are not full displayed
Nist5 stats and lotto ticket generation is implemented for nvidia miners a sometime profitable mining option
