i stop pay for voting MINTPAL the new announcement they made leave to less time for us achieve it Sad
1st september isnt reachable to be top of list it would need some more weeks/months

and mintpal stop adding coins based on voting list at 1 september

Quote
mintpal page:
Important: Please be aware that we are phasing out the voting system. We have removed the option to make payment votes and will stop taking voting winners from 1st September onwards. The system will continue as normal until then.

They still need a way to choose which coins to add.
If they want to give a good service, they'll have to listen to the customers in some way.
We'll make sure diamond has its chance.

I tried transferring some BTC to Mintpal then buying random coins and insta selling at a minor loss however I still can't vote.  Anyone know how many transactions need to take place before you can vote?  Also, has anyone had any luck getting their larger withdrawls from Cryptsy?  I am waiting now 11 days for 433 dmds.  :-(  Horrible response time from them with no updates.

MintPal is doing away with the voting system over the next month or so. Might want to get all the votes we can before that happens. (legally of course)

The more I watch new coins on bittrex I am afraid of DMD being dumped to death ... perhaps wait till PoW rewards drop to 0.1 to get listed then dumping will not be as much a reason to mine DMD.
I don't want to be left hold a bag full of carbon dust LOL.
If we do manage to get listed on another exchange besides Craptsy it should be as DMD2.

There seems to be a negative opinion going around about Bittrex which I share as I don't favour their business model. Cryptsy might be too big and slow to react, but at least once the coin is taken in they keep it without threatening to remove it. I also was reassured some time ago that we are safe /even with very low trading volume/.

I'm not sure what other coins have to do with dumping Diamond. If you look at the Diamond's  price graph it is remarkably stable. Lower price is good for redistribution, the more people can buy the better it is for general health of the coin. Price growth is not something that can be coded into the wallet and happens automatically, to achieve this  hard and persistent work is required on many levels which is time consuming. Work gets seemingly easier when the community also fights for the coin. We can see the results of this by looking at the voting score on MintPal, great gains every day.
Diamond is a very long term project. I just discovered a gem coin Supercoin traded on MintPal and analised their thread. Big promises, huge IPO, over 300 pages thread .. result, just another clone without any future, where the dev obviously took the IPO money and left not being concerned what happens next. Such examples of  'success' stories are plenty and only a few will really survive. Diamond will survive and will be succesful .. no doubt about that. Please remember that we are still in the initial adoption phase of this coin.. what is it 0,5 million coins issued so far? Plenty of more to go.
Investors begin to worry when they see that the project ceases to develop. In the case of diamonds this is not true. team responds quickly to any problems. I want to believe that everything will continue in the same spirit.
Thing to remember is that you need to develop trade services and seek out partnerships with major online stores.
Thank you.

I'd like to see an indicator in the wallet that show my stake weight vs network weight and ETA to Staking.

I'd like to see a summary of the amount of coins at a coinage range in the stats tab:

Coin amount premature (0-6 days)
Coin amount with 7-30 days coinage
Coin amount over 30 days coinage

You do not look in code to see the current status of the block chain. In fact, the code does not contain that information.

The code however provides easy to use user interfaces for interrogating the block chain to find out which transaction was doing what, which block had what transactions etc. An block explorer does not much more than that.

The "who are the richest guys" information is coming from scanning all block chain transactions and building yourself a list. Then presenting it in nice ways. Anyone who has an Diamond wallet can do this. You don't need anything special, nor do you need anyone's permission.

If, there are "investors" who require some block explorer, run by who know who in their spare time, in order to decide whether to invest or not, then those guys definitely do not care about the fate of their investment.

Even the simple block crawler at http://dmdpool.digsys.bg/bc/ is enough for anyone who prefers web interface to the block chain. But, for those who need more statistics, there is an block chain style block explorer (based on Abe) for Diamond too.

If such are not enough, then perhaps someone who need a fancier block explorer will just build one?

As for transparency, perhaps you will do one more good deed for the community and indicate what is not transparent about Diamond, so that someone could eventually fill in the void.

I think the type of investor Shveicar had in mind is the same who values more how User Interface looks over core code stability and security. In my estimation, this type of investors make majority of this crypto community niche. The real type of a player  would indeed not care that much of how things look but whether he could trust people in charge of the coin to make good return of his investment; its all about identifying potential early enough and not being deceived by shiny gimmicks.
Regardles of the definition we need to appeal to all types of investors and of course with time we'll address all these issues.

Hi.
Before you try to conquer the market, need to create the normal blocks explorer network, transaction history, and all the details, including the ability to see the big purses with Diamond. See how it looks in other popular coins.
Any DDoS attack and people immediately lose the ability to see what is happening with their transactions. For serious approach is not acceptable.
look at the http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency now just such a situation.

Excuse me, but this is nonsense.

Currently, anyone who has Diamond wallet has *full copy* of the block chain. All information is there. Block explorers are nothing more than a fancy web interface to the wallet. What they do is present you with summaries etc of the information contained in the block chain that is available to everyone.

What could be "different" is an "official" block chain explorer, that shows the block chain version that will survive, because of administrative push or similar. This only applies to the last few blocks anyway and is almost nowhere to be seen in other coins.

Just a reality check.
You do not know how to look normal browser blocks? then look here https://blockchain.info/ or at least here http://www.worldcoinexplorer.com/
No serious investor will not climb into the code and search there information.
Everything should be as transparent and user-friendly.

You do not look in code to see the current status of the block chain. In fact, the code does not contain that information.

The code however provides easy to use user interfaces for interrogating the block chain to find out which transaction was doing what, which block had what transactions etc. An block explorer does not much more than that.

Great news, Diamond is now accepted on Ritz Grand Casino Wink

https://www.ritzgrandcasino.com/

Games look great and are not that hard (basically you kick a button). I've already played a few different ones (haven't tried card games, though) - even earned more then I put in, and it's not luck I just score often small amounts, I think.
It's good to see Diamond being accepted not only for shopping but also for entertainment.
I paid 35DMD (out of my private funds) for 10 credits and one game is about 0.50 .. after playing for some time I'm 11.50 .. it's great fun if someone likes that kind of thriller.

EDIT: So 0.50 per spin is a default setting and it gives you 50 lines (that's why it's easier to score) .. but I reduced it to just 3 and now pay 0.03 per game and with 10 credit it gives you 333 spins.. not bad. I have it set at automatic so I do other things in the mean time and check the status from time to time. The game basically plays itself Cheesy once wins once loses I wonder how it ends .. either a Mega Jackpot 1746 Credits or an empty account.

Perhaps Diamond should start it's own exchange. Seems the existing exchanges have the power of life and death over a coin and that's not fair. Think about it, would be a first...

by far not "first"
some examples:

best - NXT - https://nxt-e.com/
and
worst -Sharecoin - some shareXcoin website unreachable and at all a big scam or hacked to dead nobody knows......
If you create a good infrastructure and a coin will be attractive to merchants and shops, not only for speculators, people will start to respect and appreciate Diamond.
