Oh, there seem to be some misconceptions about -it- and what -I- did.
I was very poor at talking to women. Extremely. Then I learned about this, toyed around with it, toyed around with other techniques. All very fascinating stuff. After I gained that confidence, I left the scene. But those skills aquired there gave me the confidence to find the love of my life (many years later)
Are there creepy guys who do messed up shit in that area? Certainly, just google Ross Jeffries. But to blanket label the whole idea is just flaunting your ignorance.
It is entirely worth blanketing, because it's entire basis is the notion that everything a woman does is predictable/falls into a pattern that can be gamed to get what you want.
PUArtistry is shameful, dishonest, and dumb, and generally only works on people who are as much of an empty shell of a human being as you are.
"I'm confident in my ignorance, and you're a bad person because you don't agree with me"
"It" is not -solely- about 'getting into panties'. "It" starts out as getting over social anxiety, and doing exactly what you suggest. For some people, talking to the opposite sex comes very naturally. For others, it's foreign and scary. One of the first things I did was take the 'newbie boot camp', which is essentially just going to a public place and saying 'Hi' to everyone you see. Just a friendly 'Hey'. Hours of this, and then you go home and realize that people didn't jump down your throat for talking - that the world isn't -so- scary. Few weeks later, I can finally go past 'Hi' and do some chit-chat. Build upon that until you're comfortable enough to convey your personality, how to convey your personality, etc. Now if you'd like to explain how that makes me 'an empty shell of a human being', go for it. That's what I meant by 'blanket label'. Zero-tolerance of anything is just an excuse not to think.
Are there people who manipulate, trample, and leave? yeah, certainly, but there are far more 'naturals' who do that, and they're just as gross. I do not condone 'manipulating' women. I do condone learning social skills if you don't have them.
