Hi Fartbags!

Do not think they are scammers, months that are doing a good job .... Eye gave me nothing in return. And I'm just a simple miner.

I love alll this "swap is questionable" nonsense.

Swap was announced in thread and over twitter time and time again.

Best part is dev team has guaranteed after deadline swaps...where's the problem again?

mmmmmm
dopecoinv3 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=467641.4440 (ish... swap is a bit confusing)

Heritage: ECC

Problems:

MAJOR: Mining launch was VERY obscure. No details given about launch time, algorithm, source link, anything.
** About 450 blocks mined with very low difficulty due to this obscurity, and of course impossible to even determine if there is a premine

Notes:

Some changes to PoS kernel.cpp that I'm not 100% sure about. looks ok, but not sure what the end-result functional difference really is

good, genesis seed is news event

Watermarks: uint64, pos, axis-like

- Recommended coin swap features to prevent scams -

After watching CANN having troubles due to a coin swap, I have come up with ideas so that this problem never happens again.

There are two main features that are necessary to prevent someone from abusing DOPE with a coin swap.

1) Luckily DOPE has kept the same character "4" as the first letter in a public address. This has allowed me to successfully import my android wallet, paperwallet and windows .dat file into the new DOPE v3. This allows the person who pre-mined all of the coins for DOPE v3 to successfully and anonymously deliver all DOPE to users without any user interaction. GREAT NEWS!

2) The original DOPE v1 & v2 blockchain must be supported through a block explorer or problems will occur in the future when people want to know where coins came from.

Currently DOPE has not done either of these steps so the current coin swap is considered a SCAM

Your authority is shit and so is your advice. Your name is a bit off as well, you are a douche-bag.

now stfu and play in the street.

Hey Jyri,

I see you are listed as the Tech Dev. Do you think that the new DOPE devs will be sending out all the pre-mined DOPE v3 to the addresses of the owners of the DOPE v1 & v2?

I think this will be a serious issue for the rest of time for DOPE v3. I don't see anyone wanting to support a coin where the devs previously stole some peoples coins.

You have gone public with your identity so I'm curious how you feel on this all. You reputation is at stake here. Has anyone else involved in this gone public with their identity?

How does POS work then? How do you know how many coins I've got? How does it affect mining?

That's a big question. For you as a user you must put the coins into the windows/linux/mac wallet and leave the wallet open. You will see it working once POS starts.

There are many questions about the pre-mined coins as of right now. I hope who ever has the private keys to the pre-mined coins can get all the DOPE sent out before the big 2% POS a day starts. The pre-mined coins will be the oldest coins. Will the pre-mine be staking? I am quite shocked that the new developers have not sent out all over the pre-mined coins yet.

Ponderously ruminative
Umm Houston? I have a problem.

I'm running OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) and my Dopecoin 3.0.0.0 wallet will not load but crashes on each attempt.

I have removed the ~/Library/Application Support/Dopecoin directory in case there is some sort of conflict between old and new but to no avail.

There is no particular urgency as my coins are safely on the exchange for the swap but I would really prefer to have the Dopecoin wallet staking on my primary machine rather than in Windows VM Smiley

Thanks for any assistance.

[Edit: typo]

Confirmation that Bittrex swap went as planned and new wallet syncs perfectly.

Can also confirm that ocminer's pool is up & running and finding blocks as well. Grin

Great work everyone!

Sorry for the dumb question but where do I send my old coins now to get them swapped ?

bump...  Roll Eyes

You seem to be the pool all-star. Maybe you know the answer to this. When a coin does a coin swap. If the initial character in the old addresses is the same as the new addresses, would you be able to send out the all the coins to the addresses in the original blockchain and use the same wallet files with the new qt on the new blockchain?

If my theory above works then it's a scam to do a coin swap any other way.

Congrats on successful swap, developers!

Price is already going up nicely.

A coin swap isn't successful until everyone that owned previous dope coins owns the new dope coins.

This far from successful.

Enough stupid. Did you not read where dev said swap will continue for a limited time?

Swaps generally are a pain in the ass and typically some get left behind but dev has been advertising and tweeting about swap. I'm thinking if you own a coin you should at least follow the coin on twitter.
Life is a work in progress so you never know what tomorrow will bring. Maybe dev extends swap timeframe, maybe not.

Yelling scam just makes you a douche and gets people to ignore you.

Go dig up your paper wallets and quit your crying....you sound like a little bitch.

You sound like a scammer. You don't need to follow a coin to ensure you don't get your coins stolen from you. The stuff you say is the stupidest stuff I have ever heard.

I'm pretty sure I will get my coins. I'm worried about the people who grabbed coins a long time ago and wanted to wait for a few years to see what happens. Then see they are worth a lot and want to support the coin.

Your hot & cold in all the threads. One day you love the coin the next they are trying to screw you some how.

Your personality disorder is no excuse for being a Tool. How about growing up and trying to resolve issues before blowing a fking gasket?

Pretty sure the dev will try to work it out for you but you need to get a grip. Your "I spent $50 on your coin & now you answer to me & I own you dev" attitude is part of the crypto problem. Try being part of the solution sometimes little timmy.

Well the main swap took longer than expected with the exchanges and its getting late here now, so tomorrow I'll be setting up the new block explorer (along with moving the old one to a new domain) and will set up a webpage for users that missed the exchange deadline.
