Some wallets do. It is a fallback method for peer discovery. Even the official bitcoin wallet used to at one time. While I don't know "for sure" that's what is going on in this case, I assume it to be so.

I have downloaded the new windows wallet and is working, i did not deleted the roaming files, took some minutes to sync but it worked.
Can you solo mine with it though?

I have just updated the linux wallet and my mining pool is working and finding blocks, more then 1 block/minute!

select coin dragon and here are the stratum links (choose one):

add your wallet as address and any password.
UPDATE:
I have saved my wallet file then deleted the wallet folder and folder from roaming, restarted pc then used the new wallet and coins confirmed after 30 transactions.
It should be ok now!
