Only thing troubling is the dev being silent.
If this was planned to be a scam coin, there sure wasn't enough hype built up by the dev so he could dump.

On one hand this looks pretty bad at the moment, but on another it does seem like people are playing with the fear aspect.

I laugh when people make these posts. Nobody cares if you buy it or not right now. This is the high risk stage and it's figured into the price. If the dev comes out with a PoD you will pay 3x more to buy it. I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't buy for a minor pump and dump. I'm sure the dev knows how nervous the community is about scams these days, so he knows that if he doesn't post in the thread for a few days it will look like scam and people will sell the coin. He can use this inside information to buy cheap coins for himself which is basically another way to scam people. It's either that or he's not coming back. Either way, he's already shown to be untrustworthy and I won't support this coin no matter what.
