I would like to note once again - 25K is too big amount IMHO, due to few reasons. I believe the old agreed number (10K) would be better for Droidz, especially in current situation. Would be nice to organize a poll on this.

*******************************
Here are some details on why I tell so... I cannot be 100% sure 10K would be better amount, but I feel that way due to the following:

 - bigger amounts are good only for whales - so they can use their position to further increase their share and completely dominate. As far as I understand the MN has twice bigger effect on overall supply than the regular staking (10% for MN vs just 5% for stakers). So the ones who own masternodes, will have bigger advantege than stakers. Rich will become richer, poor will become poorer (due to his share decreasing). That's not healthy and will draw away smaller investors, who actually create community.

 - in current situation, when big amount of supply is in wrong hands (people who stole the coins), we have some "rich", who are not interested in project, just want to get as much money as they can in exchange of their loot. We need to minimize effect of those persons (by giving more chances to the smaller investors), so they have to spend a lot of resources (aka servers computational power) to run many masternodes, and finally could want to dump their stash instead. The sooner they dump it, the better is for honest community members.

 - masternodes should not be a privilege for the rich. They are fun to run, and this fun should help to attract more people, regardless of their share.

We need to make DRZ a fair coin. With bigger MN amount I don't feel it is fair.

And one more point: I know someone (for example crysx Smiley) could bring his own arguments, which may sound pretty good, and they might be better than mine. I really don't want to carry lengthy discussions over this, actually I don't want to argue at all, because (a) I don't see much value in arguments over a topic which is pretty much unknown to both parties, and (b) as I said I am not 100% sure in what I tell above. I just wanted my opinion to be heard, and I want the number to be chosen by community (via a poll, for example), rather just set by the devs, even if they do what they consider to be the best for the project.

Isn't this a community project after all? Smiley

25k DRZ per masternode will make Droidz a very expensive coin.

We have 8m DRZ

So at present, theoretically, this will equal a maximum of 320 masternodes.

Practically, the most we might have with this set-up is 100 masternodes = 2.5m DRZ in masternodes.

A typical whale would have 5 - 10 masternodes, while a few investors will struggle to have one masternode each.

Lets see how it works out. Masternodes will end up as a priviledge for the lucky few

I feel that the large figure will encourage people to stake their wallets ordinarily, while those with a bit of money will struggle to have 1 or 2 masternodes. This will keep price high, as any cheap coins floating around will be quickly scooped up, to create a masternode.

The large figure will prevent people from abusing the masternode system, as many holders, including the big holders will be forced to keep some coins staking outside the masternode system.

Isn't it just a text?

It should accept 25K regardless of the text there...

no i have to build deps for that first

Once build i can rebuild QT

ok ...

so you are compiling it IN windows itself ...

i understand it is actually more difficult to compile within windows - than it is to cross compile in linux FOR windows ...

soopy usually does the compilation of the windows wallets - i do the linux ones ( well i mean - the fedora dynamic qt wallet / centos static daemon ) ...

let us know how you go ...

#crysx
yes i build in windows it self. I can also build static linux wallets on my server. i have a ubuntu server in my garage Wink

PS: Rebuilding again

i dont do debian based compiles - just redhat based ones ... which is why static centos 7 x64 daemon - and dynamic fedora 23 x64 qt wallet ...

ive always said i need to learn debian as well as i know redhat ... but - such is life ...

recompile - kool ...

i whas trying to set up a MN and it is asking for 100k droidz see pic

is that the latest wallet? ...

if so - it needs to be recompiled from source again - as its the older code ...

i cant do it from my end ( only linux ) - as i dont know how to cross compile yet with linux ...

but once i get hold of soopy again - ill ask him to get a new compile done of the wallet ...

it should be 25kdrz - NOT 100kdrz ...

unless of course - you can compile your own windows wallet klassje ...

#crysx

v3.0.1.0: Blaze

And yes i can compile windows wallet Cheesy
i can even build a static version so you dont need the dll's in the file with the qt.

PS: building V3.0.2.0: Klaasje wallet Tongue  (hoping that is i saw SECP256K1 in deps path dont have them yet build yet)

that would be kool ...

compile directly off the git if you can mate ...

https://github.com/DroidzDevTeam/Droidz-V3/ ...

once secp256k1 is compiled - it is usually just set in the compile path for drz ...

i really need to learn how to compile windows wallets ...

i need it for granite ( grn ) and the 'other' coin im taking over next week ...

btw - i see a LOT of activity in the drz2 seednodes ... i mean a LOT ...

a lot of wallets are syncing - which i hope means that a LOT of people are going to get the swap done sooner than later ...

this would be great news if this is the case ...

the sooner the swap is finalized - the better ... so we can get all the exchanges back on track and trading again ...
