Now that the excellent Mintpal exchange has been earned, instead of Cryptsy should we instead focus much higher, and target the big one: BTC-E? Their monthly volume is immense, and they only have one competitor in Peercoin, the original PoS which only gives 1% yearly interest.

BTC-E is the only existing and not malfunctioning exchange so far that provides anonymity. For me it seems like the best exchange, for someone else like you its a bad thing. They couldn't provide more info about their own legitimicy without giving out their own personal info which in return would probably get them into jail because it's "money laundering" what they do in the eyes of governments, since you don't need valid documents to exchange and withdraw USD/EUR there. Any exchange could be hacked legit or not, but they are providing 5* service.
Yeah I agree with everything and I also invested in ECC even tho im very cautious with my hard earned BTC mostly
I was just replying on the FUD that is spreaing and I don't agree with the MOB part because BTC and most altcoins were born to give the freedom of financial transactions without taxing them to death and sadly most EUR/USD exchanged will bow to the goverments.
New US laws taxing miners etc. (localbitcoins will be the only place where you can avoid heavy taxations but thats by far more risky then BTC-E)
I totally agree that ECC should make it on BTC-E and Cryptsy atleast.

Sorry but I don't see how BTC-E is horrible. I've been following and using it since idk October and I've never had a single problem with it. Plus now they have new withdraw options which I've never seen elsewhere.

i´m new here, and i would like to help a little bit. i dont know how to mine yet, but i woul like to learn. Did you know where there is a step by step for dummies?
I think ecc is a great opportunity with the new cryptos because, first of all, i saw a strong community, and thats the key to spread the knowledge about the coin.
Sorry if my ideas could be "old", but i think we should make some "goals" (i saw a lot of ones), including here the coin development (with all of you are doing a great job), and with social media, asking for platforms to put ecc on "the game", and a lot of things. But i didnt find one place with all that ones.
That goals could be separated into one specific forum, or another place that shows all our targets, and the deadline for that. myopinion is that create one place for that could give an information to all the community what we should do to make ecc more strong and known.
im sorry for my bad english. but i hope to help a little bit.
