This coin looks really solid. Anyone that knows the future of cryptos, and has taste, can see it plain as day. This improves on a lot of the ideas of Mintcoin, which is an excellent coin to clone, and no shame in copying good ideas. Improving on the distribution models and social media marketing greatly is a nice angle and gives ECC an edge. Rewarding stake holders more initially, while long term ending up with the inflation rate of Peercoin is about as perfect as it can be designed. Peercoin is one of the very best alts by the way, but has been passed up by the latest generation of hybrids in design.
ECCoin appears to have a team that gets the concept that they really need to *sell* the coin and work hard at it. Less than a 1% premine, which isn't totally absurd. Website is in all major languages, awesome video with a catchy song. Massive amount of press releases in most major languages. Looks like a winner. You don't even have to pay BTC for that tip, for that matter, it is actually a good tip as this coin is highly likely to survive rather than fail as a pump and dump. If a coin can simply survive long enough, then it has a chance to win.
People that have been paying attention can look at the limited supply of Blackcoin and see how speculators that are not whales, are simply tired of being dumped on by miners. Indirect mining tech in combination with the ASICs will be clearing out the crap-coins of the past, made by real scammers. There is no reason that ECCoin can't have indirect mining pools in the long run either. This coin has a very good shot ... as long as the team is in it for the long haul. They are clearly not lazy and know how hard it is to win, so that is a good sign, scammers are usually exceptionally lazy and overly greedy. So that is enough for me to mine and buy a little bit, and see how it plays out.

Btw, anyone else having issue withdrawing their bitcoins from Cryptorush?
I tried that and on my other computer and my smartphone. Just checked with with CryptoRush IRC and other users are reporting the same issue and its been on going all day apparently. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow and see.
Well if so you need to clean mobile history or cache and reboot browser or cell phone. I had similar issue 3 days ago on desktop and solved locally like this. But it's better to ask their support and see what happened lately.

In past 24h I have seen barely any activity in terms of sells on our 5 wall. The fact that a spread between 5 and 7 existed showed that there was upward buying pressure for this coin. I began an attempt to close the 6 gap and now i can see more orders pilling, seeing this I have put some more on. Lets build 7 SAT base and push hard forward!

Seems like a large amount of orphaned blocks mining today, is there any way to reduce those or is it pool related?
use bigger poolsWhat is the news for BTC38 or Bter? Have we received any updates? I am and will be eating whatever is thrown at 6. I have faith in hardworking community/dev however unless we quickly spread the word of ECC we will not be able to sustain the sell pressure that is being created by miners. We are in top 10 scyrpt coins in terms of network hashrate, that is great news - however that also means a very large daily coin output.
Long term we should be in the green but these next few days are extremely crucial in making this ECC dream come true.
I just re-contacted person who contacted btc38 and bter. He said no answer yet. They should return us with some answer. Btc-e said yesterday they "no planned". (At least they returned us. So we can push it harder (i'll ask from community open tickets from btc-e later) first our current 5 targets...
You, community, should concentrate the targets. I give more when some progress happened on these targets. I can't advice or recommend anyone buy this buy that. I am not an expert or economist can give & deliver financial advices.
The good thing is we have still enough mining time. Coin distribution is going well. We continue work on multipool can pay ECC. (REDIS is the issue we handling in technical aspects). And we have plenty time before going PoS.
