I think "环保币" (Protect Environment)  is more suitable for "Environmentally Conscious"

So we better use at first step "Environmentally Conscious Coin" and at the second stage E-Commerce Coin"
It looks good to me. So i updated www.eccoin.cc with this new name. Maybe jamie http://eccoin.cc/img/logo.png replace this image with new name.

"Environmentally Conscious Coin" would be my pick. Name and promote it as a cryptocurrency that is environmentally conscious (doesn't use much electricity), it's fully distributed, and it has the benefits of PoS holder interest. Simply communicate clearly what is does. Make it appeal to traders as a practical coin with investment potential. They are the people and market you want onboard right now to give it the valuation worthy of eventual e-commerce consideration by the public later.

(To promote ECCoin as E-Commerce Coin is too greater ambitious leap at this stage. This coin practically needs to get some kind of valuation first before attempting to promote itself as ready for online merchant e-commerce. That's like comparing (as at 06-03-2014) a $662 USD Bitcoin versus a $0.00001316 USD ECCoin. If an enterprising merchant or shop owner wanted to start accepting cryptocurrency when selling his coffee, pub beer or pizzas for his/her business, which do you think the merchant would be more comfortable accepting? Bitcoin of course! Yet the irony is, ECCoin as a crypto to be distributed is already fully out there - even if it is in too many bag holders hands right now. It's ready to use. Bitcoin on the other hand is going to burn so much electricity that if a traditional financial industry critic or environmentalist wanted to criticize cryptocurrencies for the negative drawback that they burn coal and excess energy, they can.)

So what's your suggestion as name? Environmentally Conscious Coin or is it E-Commerce Coin?

We are at the top bottom, big solutions or inventions usually occur at this level. So you can stay strong, i am here working everyday.

We develop special pool api so we can offer other coins pools they will be connected to main pool. When small pools connected main pool we can have more miners that enough to find blocks. Otherwise we can't grow multipool like this. We spend some money to lease miners but we need over 200mhs to find one block of dark or any big coin. So pool dev is developing now API system to solve this problem. Be sure we work everyday and progress, see we have been testing x13 coins recently http://bost.pool666.com .. we will success.

Or "Everyone Can coin" or "European Community coin".. the ambiguity is both potentially amusing, and a barrier to clear market segmentation, unless you market the ambiguity as a differentiating feature in its own right?  I think "E-Commerce Coin" has some strong advantages as a name when considering a way forward as something which can be spent.

The problem on the sell-wall-war is scrypt asics.. professional miners are mining the crap out of anything they can find and placing puts on the market to offload their minings.

The only counter to that is forward-looking activities which focus on turning ECCoin into something useable (i.e. give it value).  Being able to spend it, coupled with advertising those spending opportunities, is the only way to boost a speculative market where people buy and hold ECC as a long-term bet on it becoming worth something, and counteract the constant selling pressure.

The problem in getting retailers to accept ECCoin as payment, is they need to be able to record it as a fiat-currency value in their accounting, and convert easily between fiat/ECC, which is made hard by the large sell walls, as they reduce both the value, and the liquidity of any ECC holdings.

We're in a catch-22.

However, I think ECC has a reasonably interested community, and some of the right attributes to make it interesting in the long-term (including lots of coins - people much prefer to deal in whole numbers when buying/selling.. fractions/decimals scare many people).  The challenge we face is turning that interest into actual forward momentum, by identifying a clear target segment and marketing ECC at both them and crypto-supporting retailers.

edit: There is one other thing which could be done about the miming.. reduce supply by reducing the block reward, which increases the time taken to hit total coins.  However that would require a hard-fork and new wallets (I don't know how well distributed ECC hash power is?).
