Yes, marketing in crypto space is very important thing.
If you are looking to invest into any coin I think first you need to focus on doing your own research and there is a huge difference between investing in Chia or farming Chia. For me it's safe by many reasons like they didn't have the ico for example so the project is really solid but still a lot of marketing is needed to drive the price.
