I'll sign up for the beta test - nice to see some originality for once.

I do, however, see a few issues with the proposal.  Some (hopefully all) are probably addressed.

1.  Transactions.  If the network grows to any decent size then there will frequently be multiple transactions created at the same time.  This poses a massive problem as:
a) If transactions don't have to be ordered in the ledger then it allows the back-insertion of double-spends (i.e. spend something legitimately then, using 2 of your own hatching nodes, spend it again later but with an earlier time-stamp).
b) If transactions have to be ordered - i.e. once one is accepted any others must be after it - then that is surely going to lead to lots of orphaned transactions and ones which have to be reprocessed to get back in sequence.  That would then allow anyone to grind the network to a halt by broadcasting a fairly modest quantity of transactions.

2.  Voting to create new EMUs.  This talks about voting on a random node.  How is this randomness enforced?  Clearly it can't be implemented by use of a RND function in the client - or people could change the code, create lots of semi-clients (i.e. lightweight ones with nothing much other than voting mechanism) and vote yes to a seed node they run themselves.

I'm interested in the idea as it reminds me of the consensus mechanism for provable trust-free voting I was drafting a few months ago (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/consensus-based-society-with-provable-trust-free-voting-124477). This system however looks more complex and elaborate in its attempt to apply voting to money generation and validation. I look forward to see what comes out of it and wish it good luck!

PS: I like the new name better than the old one. Yes, it might sound childish, but it's amicable and religion-free. Also count me in for testing (PM on this forum for contact)

I just finished reading the whole thread, and I still don't understand what prevents people from creating many hatching and clients voting an validating themselves. As described, I see a rampaging number of (virtual) nodes saturating the network.

For the proof-of-work / proof-of-stake debate, what we fundamentally need is something tied to IRL ... SHA/scrypt hashing proof-of-work ties to CPU/GPU, which distribution was considered evenly enough (relatively easy for an individual to have one or a few, hard to have a really large number) ... We know this is changing, especially with ASICS.

But to what we should ultimately tie the voting power / monetary creation is still unanswered ...
Even biometrics informations would be bought from poor people by rich one if given the time ...

Anything to improve the current cut & paste shit looks like you have put in some effort and for that alone I will help the cause.
I will help with your testing.
