Probit might not be a big exchange as compared to others but I guess it is a good exchange to list with rather than those exchanges that are heavily manipulated. And with the continuous development of this project, I believe they are going to stay long here in crypto. Good luck Ergo!

Thanks! Ergo is here to stay for long time! And the most important thing is to have time on our side. This is true for Ergo because :

* Proof-of-Work
* Supply cap
* Rich functionality of the blockchain core (custom tokens, safer and powerful contracts)
* Focus on survivability in the long-term (storage rent, light fullnodes, safer light modes with no full-node security)
* Possibility of painless system parameters readjustment, also improved soft-forkability
* Precisely defined social contract, treasury to fund development
* Sigma-State language, privacy by choice

However, the beast is very new and we need for some time to tame it. But external teams are already working on applications, exchanges are integrating the coin, the core is getting more polished with time also.

Btw, I think there's potential in developing games on top of Ergo in form of smart contracts!

ErgoPlatform Update 21.10.2019:

HotBit is now reworking its withdrawal procedure, we're helping them. Withdrawals are currently disabled.

A lot of new talks with exchanges, some announces are coming Smiley

Also, we're in talks with external teams willing to develop decentralized exchange (DEX), p2p loans and bonds (collaterized with ergs) platform, a platform for tokenization. The decentralized pool is under active development!

3.1.3 is ready and will be released tomorrow or on Wed. It will include  simplified wallet UI (really simple!) and couple of bugfixes.

As a project launched by previous co-founder of smartcontract.com,when do you guys consider to integrate decentralized oracle ChainLink for fully interacting with real world?

I'm not in touch with the guys anymore. First oracle is coming in Ergo, maybe next week. What "decentralized" oracle means btw ?

See it.

Decentralized oracle means many nodes to feed the same data in order to prevent single point error IMO.For Chainlink,there are 20+ nodes now.

What about Ergo oracle?

Currently, there's only one oracle, but the scripts (to create oracle and  update its data) will be open-sourced soon so anyone will be able to run an oracle with no much hassle.

It is possible to do an aggregate oracle, which is taking e.g. data from 8 oracles , removes 2 min and 2 max values (to reduce noise) and then calculates average for medium 4 values. We are discussing such a contract in the community. Also, it is possible to do oracle directories and other contracts to have better (less trusted) oracles. So we are waiting for startups willing to take this space.

Test oracle which is writing nanoErg per US cent price from CoinMarketCap into R4 register of a box labeled with the "c402..." singleton token: https://explorer.ergoplatform.com/en/addresses/9fRusAarL1KkrWQVsxSRVYnvWxaAT2A96cKtNn9tvPh5XUyCisr

Details on how to run an oracle will be published on the ErgoForum soon.

With the oracle now financial contracts such as trustless LETS and loan contracts could be developed.

On decentralized pool, currently there's controversy that a single party can control a lot of mining power hiding under many pseudonymous identities. While there are no evidences so far behind this theory, decentralized pools can make significant share of mining power visible but without possible issues of centralized pools (in regards with censorship). The Foundation also welcomes research in probing the Ergo network, finding geo distribution of mining power etc. Such research may be sponsored.

Core developers have enough material for couple of new releases, including support for wallet operations in new UI, updated (more efficient) ErgoTree interpreter, new API methods for applications development, and fixed P2SH addresses. Probably 3.1.3 will be out on Monday (Oct, 21st).

We are looking for external development teams willing to develop a decentralized exchange and a full-fledged (desktop?) wallet (with mixing and 3rd part applications support), please contact the core community members on that.

A lot of news already for this week (3.1.1, HotBit listing and AMA, video from Hong Kong etc), but we have more:

* 3.1.2 is ready (in the dedicated branch https://github.com/ergoplatform/ergo/tree/v3.1.2) and under testing
* An oracle posting ERG/USD price is done by "Sininen Taivas": https://github.com/sininen-taivas/ergo-oracle , we are testing it. With the oracle it is possible to develop such applications as LET systems , p2p loans, rainbow channels etc
* First stage of EIP-0001 (application-friendly wallet) implementation is done and under review: https://github.com/ergoplatform/ergo/pull/897
* EIP-0003 (BIP-44 for Ergo) and EIP-0004 (tokens standard) are proposed : https://github.com/ergoplatform/eips/pulls
* Ergo community is on the way to get an implementation of non-interactive mixing scheme done: https://www.ergoforum.org/t/lets-play-with-ergomix/108

And now very important announcement:

* development of a decentralized pool has been started! Please note Ergo does not allow centralized pools, but decentralized pools where miners generate block candidates on their own (which is important for resistance to censorship) and cooperate with the help of blockchain contract are actually possible. Some ideas were discussed on the forum: https://www.ergoforum.org/t/creating-an-ergo-mining-pool/42, and now lead developer of AMD mining software "mhs" started the pool development! So 2-3 months later Ergo will be friendly to small miners (currently you need for 30+ GPUs to see stable income). However, collateral will be needed for decentralized mining contract (better to have 130 Ergs at least, so about 2 block rewards, even if you're a small miner), so better to buy Ergs for cheap and store them to mine later probably!

An update (will do them periodically again until a new road show)

The road show was highly successful. In particular, we're now talking with some Korean and Vietnamese exchanges, there is a small team now starting decentralized pool development, we've got new fans and hundreds of business cards.

HotBit listing announced https://twitter.com/Hotbit_news/status/1179366976046714881 . Listing will take place likely within few days after holidays in China( Oct, 1st - 7th). Within few days after listing we'll have AMA session for HotBit users.

New listings are coming!

External developers are reporting that they're testing pricing oracles and non-interactive coin mixing. With the oracles we can do loan contracts, mutual credit systems and other DeFi (decentralized finance) applications.

3.1.1 is coming with simplified user-friendly interface added.

There's enough new features for 3.1.2 as well, e.g. a new version of language interpreter with much improved performance.

And please note, unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, where formal verification techniques took years to appear around, in Ergo a crowdfunding contract used in practice has some formally verified properties just within 3 months after launch, see https://www.ergoforum.org/t/simple-crowdfunding/70/19 for details.

So everything is going well, if you want to help us, please join the community, spread the word and hodl!
