Sure, if this partnership works out I can't image how high the price could be because other companies will be on board as well.
Very exciting. Whatever is responsible for recent price movements, even if there was some manipulation involved, enough news of this caliber will eventually put ether well beyond the reach of the sort of two-bit manipulators who have dominated shitcoin trading in the past. This kind of thing shows ethereum's tremendous potential for mainstream adoption and for use cases far beyond anything bitcoin or any alt has done in the past.

Through the partnership, customers of Azure, Microsoft’s cloud-based business service, will have access to tools that will allow them to experiment with and build products that can digitize and automate a plethora of operations, from securities trading to cross-border payments to corporate accounting, and offer them to their own customers.

No, he needed to create a money collecting party by rolling out NXT. He wanted to challenge Bitcoin and in fact he created a currency that is used by precisely zero real world users. Still he is lecturing people about digital currencies every day in this forum - after he created NXT, the zero user currency.
