Everyone seems to be bearish on ETH. Do you think the Augur sale will cause ETH to crash when ETH will be converted to BTC after the end of Sep.

ETH is heading to lower than 50 cent levels this month.

There is around a week before the end of Sep. 50 cents at the end of this month is very ambitious. I don't thnik anyone have that much coin to dump to 50 cents.

Blazin8888 is a troll . Last week he said Vitalik would be forking ETH. LOLOLOL. He wants cheap ETH and has about as much clue about upcoming events as the Groundhog who predicts the end of winter (<3 Bill Murray).

Why would ETH need to be converted to BTC when you can convert it to fiat (on Kraken for example)?
And if Augur guys believe in their project, they shouldn't make ETH price crash. Well, they can for a reasonable amount, and in small batches, but otherwise it's shooting on your own foot.

personally i dont get Augur. they forked an alpha ethereum after ethereum had only just been released. they are presumably gonna run a pretty centralized blockchain on software very much in its infancy. why do they not run Augur on the ETH blockchain for example? Ive tweeted at Augur but never any comments re these topics. Obv lots of people wanna make a quick buck and assume they'll sell their presale at great profit. Im not so sure its gonna pan out like that.

Ethereum could eventually host the greatest decentralized gambling site/service but Augur seems a little premature and centralized.

Augur is an Ethereum fork?  I thought it was just a series of smart contracts and a front-end?

My understanding is that Augur is a fork and will not run on the Ethereum blockchain, yes. The project Szabo is involved in, Etherplan, does run on the Ethereum chain. See http://dapps.ethercasts.com/ and look for Augur

..................when ETH will be converted to BTC after the end of Sep.

?!?! ETH will be converted to BTC .......... 1 ETH=1 BTC ...?!?!? Grin Grin Grin You really got me laugh! Probably kidding!  Grin This is imposible!

He never said 1 ETH=BTC,  you should read a post properly before commenting on it. It makes you look stupid.

"when ETH will be converted to BTC" ..... How did you understand him, it was a smart ass! Obviously, other so they understand / read just down /.
I do not know if I look silly, but you shift the image of your avatar that there straight look funny!

English being amongst the easiest languages to express with often causes misunderstandings.
What he probably meant was ... when some (people) "cash out" in BTC - convert their funds from ETH to BTC.
All of a sudden the supply of ETH will be way overwhelming the demand.

Id highly recommend people listen to this podcast to better understand "smart contracts" and Ethereum, not to mention "bit gold" and the origins of BTC and the "civil war" in BTCLand.

The show is an interview with legendary cryptographer and cypherpunk Nick Szabo, creator of bit gold and "smart contracts" and considered by many to be Satoshi/part of Satoshi himself/itself, although that speculation remains in the ether…

Nick is on the Etherplan Team. Etherplan develops Smart Investment Plans (SIPs) on the Ethereum blockchain http://etherplan.com/
"Smart Investment Plans (SIPs) work like Merrill Lynch, Schwab, or Wealthfront, but are software programs that hold funds and are hosted on Ethereum instead of Wall Street."

http://etherplan.com/team
"Nick is a computer scientist, writer, and holds a JD degree from George Washington University Law School. He is known for his research in digital contracts and digital property.

The phrase and concept of “smart contracts” was developed by Nick with the goal of bringing contract law and practice to the design of electronic commerce protocols between strangers on the Internet.

In 1998 Nick developed a mechanism for a decentralized digital currency that he called “bit gold” which is a precursor to the Bitcoin architecture."

And the show itself… a must

I am looking for some way to monitor my ETH miners.
Etherminer in Ubuntu does not show me either hashrate or temps on the gpu:s.

Is there any way to get this info shown in etherminer ?
Or is there some other way to monitor several rigs mining ETH.
Right now i just have the hashrate presented at the pool i am mining at.

https://github.com/sammy007/ether-proxy only if you will go solo.
Ok. i am mining pool so i guess i will have to stick with reported hashrate at the pool then.
Thanks.

too much hashing power with nanopool and suprnova.

is there a list of mining pools? try to keep the mining power well-distributed for a stronger Ethereum.
