What is the best option to locally store ETH coins? Is there anything like electrum?

Use Mist or Jaxx wallet , it is best for Ethereum
Don't you need to download the ethereum wallet first then download the mist program to install it on top of it?
Thought mist was just an interface to add on top of the already existing wallet client?
I was wanting to know the same thing.
I go to their page and it shows two separate downloads.
So if you download the mist file do you need to download the ethereum one too?
It is too confusing and just makes it look like a high profile scammer coin client.

March 17, 2017
Our Position on the Possible Hard Fork

As stated in the recently-published hard fork contingency plan, Poloniex agrees that any contentious hard fork must include replay attack protection. Without this, exchanges cannot continuously and properly operate.
Why can’t we pause markets until a "winner" emerges?

Unlike a planned fork where the block height is known, Bitcoin Unlimited can activate at an unknown date and time; therefore it is not possible to plan for such an event.
Are you going to support Bitcoin Unlimited or Bitcoin Core?

We will support Bitcoin Core continuously as BTC. In line with our current internal policy, if you have Bitcoin on balance at the time of the fork, we will make Bitcoin Unlimited available for withdrawal provided it is safe to do so. At a minimum, any new fork must include built-in replay protection. Without replay protection, we would be unable to preserve customers' Bitcoin Unlimited without halting Bitcoin withdrawals, which is unfeasible.

At this time, we have not determined whether or not we will be listing Bitcoin Unlimited.

hmmm, could be ETH vs etc on a bigger scale,  btc vs btcu
maybe have some fun with BTC....im in the unlimited camp (for the time being lol)  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
a major alt dump could happen anytime soon as peeps try to hold btc in the hope of gettin free btcu

I also think the block size has to be increased for the bitcoin to be useful to most people.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
There's 100,000,000 coins, eth can't stay up

CMC claims there is 89,833,923 coins, where did the other 10 million come from?
That was clearly rounded, the point is that the value of Ethereum can never come close to that of Bitcoin because there are far more coins.  This changes the way that we should look at Ethereum because the only relevant thing we should consider about Ethereum is its market cap, not its price.

It is possible that the bitcoin will fork into several coins. If so, the bitcoin value will be lower.

I just opened an account with myetherwallet website and have few doubts. I copied the private key and took a backup of my wallet but I am not able to understand the options given like Gas limit and Data option. In the Gas Limit box, the number 21000 is already entered. What does it mean? And what info should I enter in the Data text box? Is it like a note?
