Dear all,

ask for help to explain blockchain and smart contracts/Etherium to absolute newbies.
At my work I decided to perform a brain storming for the topic "how to use blockchain and smart contracts in process automation industry".
I reserved 2 hours: 1h explanation and 1 h brainstorming.
Target: people understand technologies and are able to suggest its application in their area.
People: not programmers, but professionally understand electronics and industrial comminication protocols.
Lang.: english or german.
About me (speaker): not so deep in details of Ethereum or smart contracts. Here is you help especially appreciated.

So preliminary plan:
1. Blockchain technology and its revolutionary character.
2. Bitcoin as a first blockchain application.
3. Evolution of blockchain, 2.0 and 3.0 technologies.
4. Ethereum as infrastructure for smart contracts
5. Examples of smart contracts
6. Additional infrastructure like e.g. Factom

Please feel free to correct this plan or to suggest good material to explain separate topics - every kind of help is appreciated!

The price has risen 1800% in two months.


The logic is that now you have a correction for a while.

It is impossible to know the minimum, have to be very careful.

May be price will be under .03 till next month. Big whales made their profit and will focus on others. So price will not increase for a period of time, In my opinion. Do not rely on my opinion

Since the eth network is no longer considered as a beta, now that we're in homestead, a number of the DAPs that rely on the network will begin to go live. Augur launched its beta the day after homestead.  It's possible that these introductions will increase both interest in eth and the velocity of money on the network.....and thus have a positivie impact on price.

I think peeps who havent saw this should def check it out, with some of the biggest players around , discussing crypto in a positive way at the world trade conf (that would have been unheard of a few yr ago). it shows the direction the world of finance is heading....crypto will be the underlying tech securing everyones data...
BTC is not suitable for the job...they needed sumthing like ETH. ETH is a technology that wil secure everyones future security as we move into a new world of IOT and a cashless society.
Finally if u look at the date of the video and then look at when ETH began to take off

Is like people is actually using ethereum for something else than trading speculating and bagholding lol.

It is difficult to say. After Homestead release there is not really reason to buy new Ether until the next release in a few months. Therefore I expect a constantly decline until the pre-phase of new release.
