I think it’s a good idea, but it will be hard to find a new dev.
You can ask the dev who you’re talking about, if he wants to take it over.

I think that you should delete it. We'd have to start fresh if there is to be a community takeover.

I don't think that we have anyone in the community that would want to take over this project. I think that they would have said something already if they wanted to do that.

Community take over is impossible since the dev holds majority of the coins, If ever, Anyone can takeover those investors that holds huge chunk of coins since he will make sure that he will create a value for the coin.

Also we can donate some BTC or ETHD to the new dev to kick start the take over.

In the case of Zero, the community donated their Zero coins to pay for someone to redo the website, work on the wallet, etc. However, Zero is a mineable coin, not a token. If we could revert ETHD back to a mineable coin instead of a token, create a wallet and maybe issue new coins, we'd have a chance to make it work.
