Is there any other file I should move other than the wallet dat?

just wallet.dat..  give it time to sync upto date otherwise the wallet hasn't seen your transaction yet.

Ok I have copied the wallet dat, now do I reinstall the wallet and then copy the wallet.dat into the reinstalled wallet?

The wallet opened, but I have no coins in it now Sad how do I get them back? I still have old copies of my wallet.dat

Shutdown your wallet.   Rename the current wallet.dat to wallet-0coins.dat ,, then copy your good wallet.dat into that directory and start up the wallet again, let us know!

Still no coins, have my old wallet address and everything, do I need to wait for it to sync? It shows all the old transactions but in status for the amounts I sent to it it says conflicted

Yes wait for it to fully sync to find what block your coins are on.

So this is what I have done, maybe I did something wrong? I copied my old wallet dat from when I had coins, then I renamed the %appdata% file to ethereumdark.old. Then when I open the wallet, it creates a new %appdata% file for ethereumdark and I copy my old wallet.dat into the new folder

I can unlock the wallet with my old key, I assume it has none in as it has not synced yet? I will wait and see if when it syncs my coins return, thanks to everyone who helped!

Proof-of-Stake Blockchain Network
How much coins were airdrop for each person in the first 2 rounds? How much ETHD you got?

Someone posted here that each member received different amount of ETHD depending on the rank of the users but on average each user got 200 ETHD (i guess)

That's a reasonable amount for a masternode. if only 2k of them i may also be interested in starting my first one. This 2 for 1 swap you are talking about is it for masternode operators only or all the coin in general, i don't really get what you mean by this part?

master nodes are another way to earn staking rewards. they need run on a dedicated server (linux server or linux vps).  they help the network become stronger
and more distributed.

Regarding the 2:1 swap... i wonder - that of course is going to reduce again the total number of coins and should double the price at the same time - am i right?

btw, all users would need to do the swap and maybe it is automated by the devs? I would hope!

Sorry, silly question, where do I find %appdata%\EthereumDark on my computer, never had to do this before

If you are windows go into file explorer and where it says : C:\   type in %appdata% , it is a variable and will take you to where the data is stored on your computer for most programs.

Usually that location is : C:\Users\USERNAME\Appdata\Roaming  .. which is a hidden directory I believe.

If you have Mac then the instructions are different..

I now have enough ETHD to run a masternode. Phew  Cheesy

How many you have?
How do you run one?? Teach me Master!!

To be honest, I've never run a masternode before.  Cheesy I'm not a Master by any means. I'm more of a noob myself. However, I do know that you will need 2000 ETHD to run a masternode. The reason you need 2K is because there will be a future 2:1 swap. So if you have 2K ETHD, it will be swapped and you will get 1K back. You need 1K ETHD after the swap to run a masternode.

Once the new white paper is released, it will provide more details on the masternode. The most important thing right now is to get enough coins to run a masternode. I'm sure that we'll get the details on how to set one up at a later date.

That's a reasonable amount for a masternode. if only 2k of them i may also be interested in starting my first one. This 2 for 1 swap you are talking about is it for masternode operators only or all the coin in general, i don't really get what you mean by this part?

anyone else having wallet issues? I cant open mine, it says:

Assertion failed!
File:src/kernel.cpp, Line 368

Expression: pindex-> pprev|| pindex->GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ?
hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)

Shut down the wallet.  Go to %appdata%\EthereumDark and copy your wallet.dat to a few locations (for backup), then rename %appdata%\EthereumDark to %appdata%\EthereumDark.old copy over your wallet.dat  , then try to restart the wallet

If you don't have any coins in your wallet.dat then there is no need to copy/back it up ^_^

Just waiting for my computer to reset and update and then I will give that a try, hopefully I dont lose my coins, thanks
