Etxcoin is a peer to peer digital currency which embraces both the Proof-of-Work & Proof-of-Stake hybrid Sha256 consensus algorithm. Etxcoin’s hybrid algorithm increases the security level of the network bypassing the distributed denial-of-service (51% attack). Proof of Work (POW) is the process of solving mathematical problems to add a new batch of transactions (block) on the blockchain. Miners gets block reward for the creation of a new block and a transaction fee, Proof of Stake (POS) gets only rewarded a transaction fee by randomly picking the validator depending of the amount their staking. Coins must be minted 10 days before becoming mature to validate transactions and secure the network. The Hybrid Sha256 algorithm balances between POW & POW and doesn’t require a significant amount of electrical and computer power to join the network.
