looking into the main program on github:

int gChainLength = 10; (max Chain Length)

(assuming the binaries are using the exact same content as the github)
I don't think you'll ever find any xpm chains with a difficulty of 10.8

why not?

I found a few blocks of 10.8 already.

EDIT: Removed my prev comments.. not correct to say that without looking at source.
didn't see the previous comment... but you are right, was doing some test and a higher than 10 also popped out with 10 max length...
However my comment was made after doing some test on testnet  (difficulty 6.7) and putting maxlength of 6, I never saw a block.

How are the speeds on the 5850, 5870, 5970, 6950, 6970 and 6990?
i failed to run it on 58** :S

Yes it is pretty slow...
I get around 5G (whatever G is...) with a 290x and 3G with a 780ti (but at this value it crashes after 1/2 hours)
Is there a way to run both AMD and Nvidia card in the same session ?

@djm34, yah, it does. it will print a bunch of multiline text instead of "new block .. ".

@SpeedDemon13. Not very fast. around 0.5G to 0.6G depending on your card. I have not actually tested it, just reporting a result from peercointalk forum.

That's bad. Guess there needs to be an optimization for VLIW5/4 for those cards to work better.

Thank you but a stupid qustion. This is for Windows and it can run Nvidia cards?

I suspect not likely .. Nvidia card is supported if you compile for it .. Post this question to dev via peercointalk

Thanks.

It will run on Windows and it works for Nvidia cards. Though Nvidia cards are way slower than AMD cards for this miner.

so far, i have found 5 blocks since I start 5 days ago. unfortunately, 2 of my blocks were orphaned...  Angry damn you ypool

I like ypool for being the first xpm pool. But I dislike the near monopoly of the network hash power and their frequency of being down a lot, even with ddos protection.

They need pools to bounce miners off once 51% of the hash at a pool until it's under 51% with some kind of software feature, like a hash rate throttling of sorts.

May work on HD6xxx/HD5xxx series. Just need to compile and try.

Windows version is on the way.

The dev made it work for Nvidia too.
