One more step closer to migration!
We plan to restart the network tonight. The upcoming changes are:
1. Reduced token issue fee (10 TWIX)
2. Increased namespace rental fee (x10 TWIX)
3. Reduced minimum staking amount to 10K TWIX
4. Launching Mainnet config this time (not Testnet)

This leads me to two questions which may not be answerable atm, when do we plan to move to Symbol, I think the goal has been set for this year, soonish?  And with the anticipation of the pace of user growth being slower than expected, does the team have new anticipations with the wallet app, Symbol migration and the strong roadmaps for all projects this year? Are there numbers of user growth "hope" you can share?
Edwin [new.capital]:
Migration: The sooner the better. The software is here, and the missing part is this supply/demand algorithm and to fine tune the configurations for each network. The settings are many, from the tradeoff between Resources vs Performance vs Functionality, to fees and other limits like min/max staking amounts or how many blocks for maximum namespace rental. It will be too early to put a date now, but definitely this year.
partnership:
Maybe it's worth being faster migrating on Symbol and latter adapting some models with new updates?
Edwin [new.capital]:
Re: growth rate. To gain significant market share, wallet app must go viral. To go viral, the app must be so intuitive, fun, safe and to generate value to both users and businesses. To achieve this fast, we need professional and fully dedicated team, which can not be assembled without money. We have started to work on proof of concept with the help of community contributions, def fund and on our own expense, but to go viral fast, we have started to explore ways to raise the money too. One of the possible solutions could be applying for EU funding program, apply for funding with one or few crypto syndicates, or even private investors in equity.
There are higher chances that the wallet app will be the gate to both TWINS and FIX, and not the opposite, at least for the near future. Migration to SYMBOL will allow us to start adding value, deploy use-cases and get traction because of the use-cases, but not because of migration.

yonda:
only a question, guys, if, if TWINS or FIX fails, can we vote to swap the coin to the other blockchain?

Edwin [new.capital]:
Technically - Yes! Community can make their own decisions and move their coins anywhere they want. The coins are yours and only you decide what to do with them. There are good examples when communities split into two or more projects, forks and more. However, I do not see any reason to worry in the foreseeable future about TWINS or FIX.

Sean:
That raises an interesting thought. As many of us already love how TWINS and FIX work on their own (staking and multi-tiered masternodes) blockchains, while we also are excited about the features gained by the move onto the Symbol chain, should we
1. Have an infographic explaining the features comparison?
2. Have any kind of solution that allows classic and new TWINS/FIX coexisting like XEM and XYM?

Edwin [new.capital]:
Good idea to make a comparison table. XEM was initially planned to be upgraded to Symbol, but it turned out that there are too many new and incompatible features that would require sacrifice of the new technology. They could simply sunset the old network, but, there are some enterprise use cases deployed already that can not be migrated automatically. So they decided to launch the Symbol as new chain and let all old chain users to migrate in their own timeframe and kill it slowly.
TWINS and FIX is completely different case:
We knew that the technology we want is not yet ready, so we had two choices - wait and launch it when ready, or launch on other technology that is more popular, grow the community and migrate when ready. The advantage for the second choice is clear - we will have truly decentralized network right after the migration. There are no use cases on our current network, so nothing to migrate - just swap the coins.
The advantages of running on technology like Symbol are many. Speed, security, performance, its modular architecture, and most importantly - its pre-built feature set that will allow us to deploy so many use-cases in no time.
We will introduce the migration plan soon, it will look something like this: new twins and fix wallets will be released with a mandatory update. Staring block X, the block reward will be reduced to almost 0.
Next, new networks will be launched with block reward close to 0. Coin swap will be announced and  enabled on NCE for a period of one year. We will support seed nodes on the old network for another year, and users will be able to send old coins to NCE and withdraw only new ones. The standard block reward will be set from block X (about one month from the network launch). All this will make no incentive to stay on the old network and do incentivize migration before the standard reward time begins.
It worth mentioning that we plan to introduce new and innovative algorithm that will automatically adjust the supply of new coins per block. The idea is to generate more coins when supply is growing, and reduce the inflation rate when demand is reduced. This will make both new twins and fix behave more like in traditional economy, just without a central bank.
The currently planned annual inflation rate will vary between 1% and 5.7%. So employ your current coins and generate rewards while you can - the current inflation rate will not stay too long.

NCE Update:

As we are approaching the wallet app integration and the internal transfer service, we have renamed “Withdrawal” to “Transfer”, to better represent the functionality.

Fees are now presented as the  addition to the transfer amount, so users could easily send the amount they want without adding the fees.

Transactions are now linked to the relevant blockchain explorers to allow easy monitoring.

TWIX is a testnet and coin on the Symbol blockchain. This is our preparation for migrating to the new blockchain. At the moment, air drops are suspended (registration in social networks = twitter, facebook, discord, etc.), but you can always earn money by participating in the life of the project.

You can take the wallet address by installing the wallet

You can buy, sell on the community exchange

at coinmarketcap not found FIX Network==According to their rules (if I'm not mistaken), you need to have more than one exchange, 2-3. We had bitter experience with exchanges (one turned out to be scammers, the second extorted money for any actions (updating wallets, etc.)). Coinmarket is a temporary misunderstanding, we will definitely be there. Faster all your questions will be answered on the discord channel, join us!  https://discord.gg/MENM7fY

Update progress: single sign-on - done

The above is a form of development being carried out by the team to develop their own wallet.app which will be fully integrated with DEX TWINS and also the current NCE, apart from that wallet.app will also be able to use the FIX Network Sim Card login system.
It is estimated that the development process of the wallet.app application will be completed in approximately 3 ~ 6 months.

FIX Network: Protection against SIM swapping and ID theft through mobile

Challenge
Our mobile phone numbers are increasingly becoming a unique method of personal identification and more and more companies and services are relying on smart devices as a means of authentication, such as 2-step verification.
Scammers who take control of the number can easily complete verification checks that protect our most sensitive information. The most common method of phone scamming is via SIM swapping. This is when a scammer convinces operators to swap over a subscribers’ number to a new SIM, resulting in the genuine customer being disconnected and all data being sent to the new, ‘fake’ SIM.

It is estimated that over $50mn was stolen from crypto wallets in the US alone in 2018/2019 using SIM swapping.
As we evolve into a digital and decentralized society, we will become more and more reliant on mobile devices and more exposed to fraud in this way.

Mobile devices are a critical part of our digital identities – we rely on them for every aspect of our lives, using them for everything from banking and finance, storing personal data to our individual digital footprints. Protecting this information is key to avoiding ID fraud and theft as well as unauthorized use of our data.

In order to achieve the mass acceptance and adoption of these transformative services, users must be confident, comfortable and feel safe to entrust their digital lives to new decentralized applications, and yet still retain full control over their assets and data.

We have numerous and stringent expectations of the blockchain technology that we will employ together with our mobile operator partners in order to deliver the FIX Network solution globally.

Our exhaustive search for an appropriate platform led us to converge on NEM’s Symbol, as we are confident as this technology includes the features, security, reliability and interoperability between private and public blockchain networks to fulfill our current and future requirements. We are proud of our technology partnership with NEM.

Edwin Terek
Co-Founder, FIX Network

Approach
FIX Network was established to provide a solution that allows mobile subscribers to secure private keys and transactions on SIM cards.  FIX leverages existing cellular infrastructure by implementing a blockchain-based security protocol to support new privacy, security, management and safety solutions for mobile subscribers via SIM.

This unique architecture will allow mobile operators to deliver services such as digital identity management, cryptocurrency wallets, and personal data firewalls, all enabled by the safekeeping of private keys on the subscribers’ SIM cards.

A critical piece of the FIX Network solution is the security policy, which consists of a set of highly flexible and adaptable rules that allow mobile subscribers to define the usage characteristics of their digital assets and identities, such as how those assets are to be stored, accessed, transacted and recovered.

The FIX Network architecture stipulates that these policies must be stored on and secured by independent, distributed and decentralized blockchain infrastructure and away from operators. The exacting design and operational specifications for the DLT has resulted in the company selecting NEM’s Symbol technology as this all-important backbone component.

The first product to be offered by FIX Network, FIX ID, serves to secure our most valuable digital identifier – the phone number – and prevent fraudulent activities such as SIM-swapping. This service, managed by an intuitive yet powerful end-user app, identifies participants through subscriber-owned global phone numbers that serve as unique digital identities. Mobile Operators will then be able to use FIX Network to provide OTT services such as crypto wallets, mobile banking, ID management – all providing opportunity for additional revenue streams.

The initial implementation of the security policies that manage the FIX ID solution will not be blockchain-based. However, the Symbol from NEM  will be integrated as soon as possible to provide the desired distributed and decentralized characteristics to this FIX Network solution.

Benefit
Symbol blockchain allows FIX Network to focus on its strength of providing reliable and innovative services to the telecom industry. The extensive range of our platform’s out-of-the-box features will facilitate rapid integration, and ensure that Symbol meets the performance and reliability standards demanded by FIX Network and their partnership with global mobile telecom service providers. https://fix.network/

Making the security attractive of a cell phone card very good but can all countries use this? I am interested in this and does my country allow it? https://symbolplatform.com/fix-network-case-study/
I beg your pardon, I did not understand which country are you interested in? The SIM card is supported in more than 180 countries around the world. You can find out more and faster on the discord channel in real time.
