Marketing is key, look at DOGE. This fltcoin has the POB that deserves its fair amount of promotion, especially when you look at the recent coin launches.

Posting here today to see who would like to join the FLC marketing/ social media team. I've already begun to set up the twitter and reddit accounts and want to possibly start on a website very soon. Tried to contact the dev directly to set this up but he clearly doesn't understand the importance of a solid marketing effort... Oh well he will learn fast. Agreed, even if the dev's support is of the "You do it, I've got no interest in marketing" type. Has he responded at all?

Can someone please explain the discrepancy between the block explorer currently showing a network at 75mghs and the pools currently showing a combined 140mghs, more than double the explorer hashrate? Is it a the explorer that fetches the info once in a while?
Don't rely on the Blockexplorer Hashrate since its really unprecise. Only valid information is the Wallet and that's where the Pools get their Information form.
And if you watch the pools, you'll see their hashrates dancing about.

Don't rely on the Blockexplorer Hashrate since its really unprecise. Only valid information is the Wallet and that's where the Pools get their Information form.

I am willing to help out on website development. (Sent you a PM). But I don't want this to turn into some dramatic thing. I think we really need the support of the main dev if this is going to be successful.

The Wallet has 58 Connections and the Server Load was never above 1.
There is also a Bash Script which informs Stratum about new Blocks found in the Network immediately.
Not sure why they still got orphaned.

One more thought... Flutter coin would probably benefit greatly if some merchants accepted it or there was some other excuse for people to send lots of coins around, hoping for those POT blocks.
Before we get merchants to accept this we need a game or something to play. There's doge-dice, can anyone think of a similar game for Fluttercoin? Something with alliteration would be nice too, just so it has a little ring to it. I personally don't have the skills to create such a game, but I'd be willing to chip in/buy a domain to host it. Anyone else?
does anyone want to explain to a noob why FTC isn't on an exchange yet?
As jcarl987 said, the coin is still very young. Possibly having somewhere to use the coins, like a game, BEFORE an exchange would encourage people to buy and USE these coins, rather than just dump when an exchange becomes available.
With any luck this would help get the ball rolling with the POB/POT rewards.

yeah it doesn't need an exchange just yet. it's still brand new, even if it had an exchange, i'm holding my coins. i have almost 2,000,000 already and plan on getting at least 10,000,000. and i'll just hang on to them for years.
