So whats going on with this, I bought a while ago at 300 and now it's worth 30, what its wrong with this coin?
We have been building a marketplace (like an ebay) in which it cost FLDC to post items. This will be a really good first case use for FLDC and it will be great for the counterparty community. We are using the LTB Tokenly services to accompmlish this and james has been helping write some of their code in order to make it work better with the marketplace. Check it out Cheesy

Why not introduce a program where if someone buys FLDC they get 10% extra from the 100M undistributed FLDC? For example if someone bought 100k FLDC off poloniex then they would also receive an additional 10K FLDC from the 100M spare FLDC. Something like this would get more people to buy and hence increase the price. OCTO is already doing something similar and they have doubled their price in under a week.
This is a very interesting concept, let me show the team this and I will get back to you Cheesy

Somebody should develop a third party folding client, the official one is rather buggy. I have been given two faulty work units within the space of 24 hours lost about 12 hours of folding time.
We actually have been talking to a guy to do this very thing, but he has not been very responsive these past few weeks Sad we are looking into it though

Robert-  For (all of) the Let's Talk Bitcoin podcast Listener Rewards, can you additionally give away some FoldingCoin to help generate interest and trading volume?

Canary in the crypto mine!
When is the first distribution halving?

I found this:
"Once the half life occurs on March 23rd, 2017 the daily distribution amount will become 250,000 FLDC per day. Then every following 1,000 days this amount will once again be cut in half for the daily distribution. "

at: http://foldingcoin.net/distribution/

It looks like the first halving will occur on March 23rd, 2017. Smiley About 8 months from now. Hope that helps!

March 2017 is about 20 months from now, unless I'm stuck in a time warp ..... ;-)

could probably use the GPUs to mine something more profitable/innovative (or right now with less loss, or with high volume market)
but i feel too morally obligated to move my rig away from f@h

Nothing wrong with helping society! Some things in life are more important than maximizing profits

unless FoldingCoin will go to the moon Smiley

Maybe ryan pumpers pump squad will pump this coin, i think this coin deserves a price of a least 1000 satoshi. There are joke coins out there with higher value than FLDC. FLDC is actually doing something useful while joke coins are a tool for speculation.

did they ban XCP tx completely on the new versions Huh
i don't see XCP as spam because it transfer real value, even when not transferring much BTC ... and it pay fees to miners.

btc banning legitimate usage (which pay fees) of it's blockchain ? what kind of open source is that
What do you mean "ban xcp tx" are you talking bitcoin? Because XCP and its assets still work as far as i know. What problems do you seem to be having?

i mean that bitcoin sees XCP transactions as spam... even if they pay nice fees. and are not really spamming anything

not getting payed for folding for few days already

Since the BTC transaction spams recently over the past few days, this through off a lot of counterparty aplications including the share distributor. Nick at LTB is working hard on fixing this and we will send out the funds as soon as we can. Thanks for the patience Cheesy

I am having same problem with faucet.. bitcoin blockchain is pretty much colapsed for small transactions
Yeah it has been crazy lately, i am actually trying to push the distributions right now. Is this the faucet thats run by one of FLDC community members? please provide a link if you can

 http://cherry.faucetfly.com/p/folding-coin-faucet
So have you not received your funds yet? This is something being done by a community member i know and not us, and i can inform him if you havent received your funds yet

hehe I am the community member, I am just letting people know that some transactions have been "processing" for days... but They will or should get to them sometime when the btc stress tests finish

oh lol Cheesy my mistake! Thanks again for doing that, i see alot of 123 forms coming in my inbox which is nice to see Cheesy

yeah, still lots of problems with this new BTC update, i have been talking with various people in the counterparty space trying to figure out whats going on. Its not nessecarily because of the spam transactions only, it has something to do with the new 0.10 update in general

lol, no worries I guess you know me by my real name hehe. Yeah faucet gets a couple of visitors per day which is cool.

Yeah, let us know what happens, I have seen the xcp dex pretty slow too..
