You need to update coin.conf in the unzipped winqt folder with your own password and optionally username.
So.... open your coin.conf in Notepad as below
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcuser=footballcoin
rpcpassword=[YourSECRETPASSWORD]
addnode=54.194.99.126
addnode=80.229.249.107
change the line rpcpassword=[YourSECRETPASSWORD] to, say, rpcpassword=helpdesk123
then with cgminer....
C:\cgminer-3.7.2-windows\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 192.168.0.71:21085 -u footballcoin -p helpdesk123
change the red to the ip of the machine running the footballcoin!
If using notepad make sure it doesn't save coin.conf as coin.conf.txt by selecting 'save as' and changing 'Save as type' to 'All Files *.*'
But, hey! Mining solo on a wallet reminds me of a long night when MAXCOIN launched

I am trying to set up solo mining on my gridseed blade (since no pools yet). It has its own controller and using bfgminer.
Your instructions are:
a:) You start Football coin, go to the debug window and type setgenerate true 16 in the command window.
b:) You point cgminer to your wallet eg; cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 192.168.0.71:21085 -u footballcoin -p yoursecretpassword
I am presently using a because b doesn't work. I don't know what yoursecretpassword is?
Can you help.

Our launch was extremely smooth and successful!
We remember staying up half the night trying to get on MAXCOIN so we wanted this launch to be fair and easy which it is!
Massive apologies to our OSX brethren! We are an AMD only house here - one of our devs will be visiting her mum soon and she has a MAC Mini - we will be expecting her to return with a binary MAC wallet!

Yes, they saw our Github repository for footballcoin and our footballcoin.net website and copied the idea but instead use some scammy distribution and lame POS which got them kicked off Bitcointalk.
