If i had a dollar for every "had i known"
If gatcoin has just only a big brand as partner, the value of the project will reach the moon. Imagine whoopercoin for Burger King managed by gatcoin, the value of that kind of use is incredible.
I think Whoopercoin for Burger King can not be managed by Gatcoin, because it is based on Waves platform, and Gatcoin on Eth. Waves makes it very easy for merchants to create their own tokens for consumers and it costs them only 1 Wave. So Gatcoin should act fast so that they didn't follow Burger King Smiley
I think just focus on small restaurant, spa, shop, coffee is better. They are just small company so they will not make their own blockchain token. so gatcoin platform is better for them
agree with you, project gatcoin platform is better for them,
because such small companies will not create their own currency, it's easier to use something that is proven and reliable!

Well ERC- 20 token is proven and reliable and takes less than 30 minutes to create, even for a tech newbie. Actually, GATcoin is an ERC-20 token. So........ right. Mindless shilling!

GATCOIN will earn three major streams of income:
▪ Merchant fees on the GAT Marketplace
▪ Brokerage fees on the GAT Exchange
▪ Engineering and maintenance fees on the GAT Network

How much the fees would be? especially on the GAT Exchange.

So your scaling capacitiy will be boosted exponentially with concurrent byzantine fault tolerance instead of PBFT. Etherum will be used only for ICO and you will move your asset into a new CBFT blockchain structure?

I think this is a good question. what will happen with the tokens once the transition has happened?

If i had a dollar for every "had i known"
am going to keep bumping this post till i recieve a clear and concise answer that makes sense rather than constant shills to bury the post but Again, most companies might not be blockchain savvy yet but a quick Google search on creating ERC token will show the steps involved and it's not that complicated. It takes less than 30 mins to create one. I have created several tokens and am not that technically inclined, so it would makes sense that companies actually interested in blockchain will easily  learn the process.
So, my question is how does GATCOIN plan to stay viable 6mths - 1yr down the line as most individuals find out that solidarity is not rocket science and most of this scripts can be easily created or emulated. Why will companies subcontract GATCOIN ( a company using ERC 20) to create a token for them when it takes less than 30 mins to create your own ERC 20 token.

Companies like embermine offer identical service and actually have three airdrops currently occuring and yet they having a tough time gaining foothold in the market cos the service is nothing unique. So how does GATCOIN intend to make this a viable coin for long term holders?

The only thing about I'm not sure about this project is the name itself.

What is gatcoin stands for? Is it some value for Asian people, or is it just a random decision?

“GAT” stands for the “Global Awards Token”

Ok, it stands for something but still, it doesn't represent the value of the project.

Still, it's my opinion and it's not preventing me or anyone to invest. Just the thing is I would prefer something better.

Global Awards Token looks fit with the main idea behind GATCoin. Btw, name won't give a big impact to a project. As long as a project run as expected, that will be enough.
Ya, actually you can do a rebrand if you want , like ANS to NEO and some other coins.
And of course the most important is the progress and development of the project.
Rebrand could be good idea after successful ico. It's not worth to do it at this stage of development
Yes of course, this is just a beginning.
The important thing for now is to deliver this project idea to as many people as possible.

Do you have any plans where to extend your businesses first? I guess you have a lot of area in Asia covered and some in Turkey and USA from SK Planet involvement. When are you planing to come to Europe? I guess you are focusing on big merchants or you will try with everyone with potential?

With the partnership with SK Planet, we are focusing the launch in the Japanese market but have the capacity to grow globally. We are in discussions with other major retailers so that we can increase the reach of the GATCOIN network. We are confident through our hard efforts and organic growth that other merchants will also soon join the GAT System.

Let this project shows what it can be done, the potential is yet to unleash, let it grow first before suggesting such things, it's just on it's way to show where it can go.

Can I ask a question? If I get Gatcoin ( or reward) from restaurant A. can I use it at restaurant B (use Gatcoin platform too)

Yes of course we like answering questions as it helps us know what the crypto community is thinking!

Restaurant A would issue its own branded token. You would need to take this token to the GAT Exchange and sell it there for GAT Coin. You could then use this GAT Coin to buy tokens for Restaurant B (or hold them, or trade them on an external exchange)

You can see this process mapped out in our overview https://www.gatcoin.io/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/170928v2-GATCOIN-System-Overview.pdf

Ahhh, that makes a lot more sense then making all of them use the GAT coin, since that will take so much marketing and convincing businesses. I guess it will create it's own kinda economy on the GAT exchange.

Projects similar to this project have already been done. There are also projects that are in the process of the ico. These projects incent, alloy etc. Does anyone know clearly the difference between these projects?

Well, Incent is on the wave platform, so at least for me it's a bad point, I personally wouldn't invest on it, about alloy, well, is similar, but its aim is more general, alloy will include games and apps, as I understood it, alloy is a platform where you could get discounts, so is practically a Groupon in the blockchain, while Gotcoin is a platform with an internal exchange, where every reward or loyalty point is an eth token, where you could only exchange inside the ecosystem, so if you earn points from a shop that grants you access to some discounts, you could exchange it for another different token from another shop to get different ones, perhaps you don't want a discount in fish, but a discount in a keyboard or a t-shirt, so you exchange it, that is better for me Cheesy.

The example in the whitepaper demonstrates an ideal scenario where the rewards effectively used to stimulate customers into spending more, so that there is a higher net profit.

My assumption with loyalty programs was that unredeemed rewards were accounted for. That is, the merchant gives rewards that are likely to go unredeemed instead of giving real discounts.

By making the loyalty program interaction more user friendly and efficient, isn't there a risk customers redeeming a bigger percentage of their rewards without fully compensating it with additional spending, thereby driving down net profits?

Excellent point, you are correct in traditional loyalty programs a certain percentage goes unredeemed and this is built in to the model.

However we believe that  when you make things more user friendly and efficient there is a net gain as it encourages spending, increases engagement and aids in customer acquisition, especially with the additional features that allow merchants to target users via demographics, spending habits and location (for example males aged 35-30 that frequent coffee shops within the city of Sydney). An additional feature is that merchants can choose to accept a combination of merchant tokens and FIAT when selling goods, so items bought with merchant tokens are not necessarily given away for free but rather sold at a discounted price.

We also believe, and I think most people on this forum would agree, that there is a an inherently interesting quality about crypto, and that many people will enjoy the collecting and trading aspect of the system and that this will in turn drive up engagement for merchants.

That's pretty awesome. I like that it makes it as simple as possible for the merchants to do everything on their own. One of the issues with cryptocurrencies is the learning curve. It seems that GAT can solve most of that for merchants.
