Here's one for example: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11694131
But, hey, the very fact that a troll of this "caliber" has decided to "bless" us with his useless time should be considered flattering! It appears that very few altcoins draw this amount of attention from this clown.
Anyways, keep up the good work Geocoin devs. A lot of people believe in you and in the future of this project. This thread may not be as long as others but that is in large part because there have been relatively few sock-puppet trolls and shills talking back and forth about nonsense page after page after page after page. Content-wise there is just as much or more than most altcoin threads, and it is a lot easier to find without having to weed through a bunch of junk.
They are the ones blatently abusing the trust system and lying about it, not me. Do you realize that this makes you an accessory to slander/libel after the fact ?
Please explain why you are not concerned about the nefarious IP traffic seen with this coin's client ?
Notice how I used the word "appears". I am not making those claims myself, or even claiming their legitimacy. I am not stating those claims as a fact, I am simply stating what appears to me to be the case (opinions cannot be defamatory) because of the claims other people have already made. Sharing already readily available and accessible information is not a crime (as long as I don't try to act like it is fact, which I didn't).
Now, if you think calling somebody a troll or a clown over the internet is slander or libel than I think you may still be living in the dark ages. Besides, in my culture, trolls and clowns are highly respected mythological creatures and professions, respectively, and their titles are meant as a compliment!
Do you realize that falsely accusing me (it appears you stated it as a fact- "this makes you"- when it is not) of being an accessory to slander/libel after the fact could be considered a form of defamation itself?
"defamation is a false and unprivileged statement of fact that is harmful to someone's reputation"
https://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation
I did not state anything as a fact that was harmful to your reputation, but it appears that you did just state something as a fact that was harmful to my reputation... hmmm..
I am not concerned with the issue you bring up because I trust Tobler (maybe that isn't smart, maybe I will pay for that later, but he is one of the few devs I actually trust). I have been interacting with him and the rest of the dev team in the slack channel for a long time now. I do not believe he would purposely use this coin as a vehicle of harm, I do not believe he had any malicious intent. He has stated that he is in the process of addressing this issue. Additionally, nobody has shown there to be any harm done whatsoever, so what exactly is the crime? You say nefarious IP traffic- which means criminal- so what is the crime? If there is no crime, than it appears that your statement could be considered a false statement of fact that is harmful to Tobler's reputation and the reputation of Geocoin as a whole (i.e. defamation!).
Okay, this was so much fun, but I have you on ignore now and don't plan on ever responding to you again! As a last piece of advice, maybe in the future you ought to put more consideration into the potential repercussions of your own accusations and the wording you choose to employ before you attempt to bring legal threats into the exchange and, in my opinion, end up making yourself appear as an uneducated hypocrite. Cheers!
