So who exactly is the 2nd party in this script? I understand you are upset but what can be said when you are making up conversations?

2nd party = People I would want to use my app.  I can't send them to Geo's website right now.

I hope you take this is in the best possible way, sometimes the truth hurts but it needs to be said.  Geo needs to work on it's image, right away.  So far it looks like a lot of talk but no actual results.  Let's see the new app, even some screenshots or video of it in use.  Let's see the new Mapbox, even if just as an alpha preview.  Let's see... something.  Roadmap's are cheap and don't mean anything without tangible developments to back them up.  The only thing tangible in Geo's recent history is roadblocks, pump and dumps, delistings and giant leaps backwards.

I have faith that there's more going on than what we can see right now.  That's why I'm still here, and why I'd bother making these posts.  But please... let's see it.  Something.  So far the only good news I've seen is getting listed on Bittrex and that's starting to look like a grab for the money and skedattle for the door.

If you want some help with the website, we can talk about that if you want.  I could probably spearhead some Unity integration too, and indoor positioning with Tango.  But before I'd bother, I need to see something that demonstrates this isn't a dead coin be pumped by devs holding lots of coins so they can liquidate and laugh their way to the bank.

I don't like being this negative, so I'm going to stop posting on this thread until I see some good news.  Best of luck to you Geo team!  PM me if you want me to delete these posts, I will, I'm not trying to FUD the coin down, just get a message through to the dev team.

GeoCoin on smart-contracts it will have public API. It will allow third-party developers to cooperate.
When they will move to smart-contracts it will be evidence of their intentions. And also, basicly, if developers announce a roadmap and follow it, it is a good sign.

Implementation of each step in roadmap will be another big news.

3rd Party Dev -> "Hey I wrote this awesome app that lets you pick up real money with your phone!"

Users -> "Wow, so cool! How do I sign up?"

3rd Party Dev -> "Just go to this sign up link and fill out the form, easy!"

Users -> "My browser is warning me not to, it says it's un-encrypted.   I thought this was a "crypto-coin"?"

3rd Party Dev -> "Uhh... Don't worry about that, it's fine.  Firefox doesn't know **** about security."

Users -> "When I try to login, it's telling me other people could get my password!  Is this secure?"

3rd Party Dev -> "Don't worry, you can't actually withdraw your coin anyways.  This guy's gonna hang onto it for you for now."

(Users back away slowly, never to return.)

-----

The way Geo presents itself now reflects very poorly on me if I were to implement them as a partner in my developments.

They need a new website, a new marketing director, a photographer with professional models, and they need all this roughly two weeks ago.

Are we supposed to believe Facebook would be caught dead hanging out with an operation like this?  Or any serious business?!? Pure BS.

Advice to developers of third-party applications: get accustomed to the GeoCoin API, you can create a lot of impressive applications  Shocked

Developer here.

No thanks.

Until I see evidence that Geo exists and has a future, why would I waste my time on vaporware?

I'm supposed to make an app that lets people harvest coins they can't even withdraw?  That's a laughably bad idea.

Thats not the idea. Withdrawals will be up once a few things are sorted out on the backend.

you acted wisely with waiting for cooling of community emotions  Smiley

after roadmap presentation I have written my thoughts about the new feature of dropping different cryptocoins on a map. now I understand and admit that I made premature conclusions and everything is ok with the project ideas, this new functionality will be implemented gradually after working out of the main apps  Smiley

As mentioned in our roadmap announcement our first focus will be on Migrating to the UBQ blockchain.  Once we've migrated to the more secure UBQ blockchain it will allow us to focus more time and effort on cool GEO things like our MapBox interface and apps.  Sorry we don't have any set dates for you, but we will update our progress here as we continue our developments.

Great news for GEO! This coin is only going up long term. Becoming a UBQ token and adding POL (proof of location) is some of the coolest stuff in crypto and shows you guys are committed. cheers

Wait a minute. I've never heard of this coin, but isn't this like PokemomGO?

The potential that this would have had if Pokemon go players knew about it.

Edit: Just saw the chart on coinmarket cap. I've been really missing out.

With latest ANN, if I understand correctly, now it's like Pokemon Go that businesses can use for their own coins, in their own locations.  Buy now while it's comparatively cheap.  I just bought some more.

I unfortunately don't have extra money, and my phone doesn't have GPS.  Sad

When will Geocoin cover all the places in the world?
There is already GEO dropped all over the world!

I saw the map, and it seems like only a thousand or so coins are spawned across the world. Unless the website is not updated. We still cannot collect, can we?
All of these coins have been dropped by our community users out of their own generousity.  Once we migrate over to the UBQ blockchain we will start dropping the newly minted coins on to the map as well, so with time the numbers will grow!

It's best to wait for our MapBox interface to be released before trying to collect.  We still have a few backend items that need to be addressed before collecting will be possible once again.

anyway this new idea wouldn't allow geocoin to reach to new heights because now this coin lost its authenticity, as I said earlier this this idea could be impelemented after one year of sustainable using of geocoins but not now. now many people/shops/coins creators etc will win but not geocoin community. I would be really glad if I'm not correct now
Sorry, how have we lost authenticity?

We just announced a partnership with UBQ and our plans for future development of this project.

Only GEO will be able to mine using Proof of Location, we don't control the specs of other cryptocurrencies.  We would like to add the ability to drop others in the future!  Hope that helps clear things up.

Mining Proof of location sounds very great to me  Smiley

Yes, I think having the platform as a close source should help to prevent it from being copied. Again, I am sorry for my earlier freaking out. I was wrong about the dropping of other currencies, I think it is actually a great idea!!! Keep it up development team!!! I think GeoCoin will do very well!!! I hope that I did not sway the decision of any investors!!! I am truly sorry if I did!!! I would feel horrible if someone sold out because of my initial post!!! Please make your own decisions in buying or selling these currencies!!! Smiley Thank you everyone!!!

Lost ? By who ? Which coin stole it ?

As I can see any feature about Geo is unique, and it will be that way, because this is "not" open source.
