How are you going to connect merchants with blockchain? Does it help you to secure transactions / relations between each party?
I think what they are trying to achieve with blockchain is use of smart contracts. So it would be basically removing central body. It’s more easier for service to interact with audience in all-purpose ecosystem (international btw) and of course it’s highly secured because of decentralization.

I think you should go through their whitepaper properly, it will give you a clear picture of what this project offers, asking if a platform is used in creating token is pretty confusing and Gifcoin is an ERC20 token, as for the profit, they do such annually to holders, which has been thrashed here earlier

Betting always gives money/profit to organizers so GIF platform also expected to generate good profit. And 80% will be shared with token holder. What else investors need

I wonder after getting launched with their own Coin; are they going to accept also other major Coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple ? If they accept this coins also, this would gain more potential members for their platform.
I think they will accept other major coins, because some investors might have their funds on these coins, maybe some sort of exchange section will be created where major coins can be converted to GIFCoin.
Why should they accept other cryptocurrencies? You can pay with BTC, ETH and LTC, these are the three most popular payment cryptos. This one actually has everyone in his wallet who is interested. I see no advantage in other crypto currencies, except more effort for gifcoin and therefore more cost.
