//can I ask why does everyone write 'reserved'? Wink

so they can sell the spot to pool owners who want to spam their pool's url on the first page of the coin  Roll Eyes

I can't seem to get any information on who the developers are but whatever. This coin looks good. I will be mining this!

It's not like anyone else is bringing out anything better. It should make it onto an exchange. Then investors can play around with it and make it bounce up and down.

There needs to be some way of controlling the premined coins.

They always want to take a percantage based on total coins to be created. Who knows what percentage of coins will be mined. If 5% of total coins get mined then a 1.5% premine = 30% of total coins in circulation. They can easily dump all their coins on an exchange, come up with a new idea for a coin, bamn new coin and this coin is dead.

Mining a premined coin without knowing the creators is like trading cryptocoins with someone on this site with a 0 reputation and sending the coins to them first.

This coin actually looks amazing. It is too bad the creators are being so secretive. There are new coins every day.

Can the creators at least give us some sort of nickname of who they are and how many of them there are?

Answering questions like that (and the ones I presented before - unanswered so far obv) here is the easiest marketing and work they can possibly do for the coin, and if they can't even manage that, how are we supposed to believe they can do sht all when it comes to make it accepted in real stores that sell real products for real money? More likely the explanation is that it's just one "dev" hoping to keep up the appearances as long as it's needed to get listed on cryptsy or w/e.

Then again, it doesn't matter anyway people will jump in and try to insta mine everything in the hopes of a quick payday when/if it hits exchanges.

Follow is some important things for this coin
1 Release the official website of the giftcoin.
2 Set A a LARGE digital countdown clock ticked on the official website for the launch。
3 Show us the detailed  roadmap and timetable of the giftcoin.
4 According to the roadmap and timetable, release the wallet both windows and linux, and open the pre-register of those pools.
5 Launch the coin accurately.
6 Release the source code accurately.

Anyhow,  do most things standardly can help anyone cover his/her flaws, so take it as an internet roadshow rather than a simple post.....

BTW, hope not expecting you pay some giftcoins for those advises.

Good advice!

We want retailers to accept this coin, but without it having value we have no bargaining power! We need lots of hash power on our network - If this is accomplished we will do everything in our power to get this currency accepted in stores..

As new coins keep popping up more and more, we as potential investors (we are investing hashing power) should start asking some questions. Like, how many of "you" there are currently, and what kind of previous experience you have to make something like that happen?

OP you wanna answer?

Ok you don't wanna answer, so I take it your team is you and your mom (who makes you sandwiches) and your experience is Zero. Amirite?

Dude, the OP answered already.
COUNTDOWN TO GIFTCOIN!

And that answers to the questions

   1) how many of "you" there are currently, and
   2) what kind of previous experience you have to make something like that happen?

Will we be able to solo mine as soon as it drops or will we have to wait until after the pool opens?

(I am a kind of noob, I know how to pool/solo mine and exchange but don't know if the source needs to be released for the coin before solo mining or not)

So will we or will the pool be the only option for a whole hour?

Life is a taxable event
This is one of the least promising coins and here is why:

1. The concept is flawed there are many alternatives, some of which are better of doing the job: (See gyft for buying almost any giftcard using bitcoins plus the long list of merchants accepting it)
2. Heavy premine
3. No windows wallet (as far as I can tell right now)
4. No innovation
5. Paperwallets can be made using private keys using any cryptocurrency. At least add native BIP38 on the client or something to print camera/copy safe QR codes.

Your coin looks very promising. I really like the logo and the concept. You could potentially develop a coin that has a future.

Just some numbers from the OP:

1,5% premine = 750.000 coins premined

At a rate of 50 coins x block it is = 15.000 blocks premined

ZERO = 0 giveways announced so far (1 day till launch)
1 bounty announced so far (1 day till launch) for a grand total of ... 200 coins ... out of the 750k premined lol

- no source code available at launch
- only the dev's pool available till 1 hour after launch

Seriously?
Why do you think apparently stupid coins such as DOGE are so popular and with such a huge net hasrate? Cause they were 0% premined. And even it the diff skyrocketed, anyone had the same opportunity from the beginning, proportional to theyr own haspower.

Here, if the coin will ever reach an exchange, the only one who is going to have a return is the dev with those 750k coins premined.

A reasonable premine for promotions and such could be 0,1% - 0,15% = 50.000 - 75000 coins, and you would still have to let anyone track the premined coins to be sure they are going for the intended purpose.
