OK Guys
Just to let you all know
I'm heading for bed i have been up since 5:30am and i need sleep
so this is the plan for tomorrow (yes i know what you are all about to to say )
so whats been taking me so long i hear you all say
well lets see
10:00am i closed the exchange and the wallets
from 10:01am i have been bombarded with questions / PM's emails etc
i have had a right game sorting out the wallet.dat files
If you sen me your wallet.dat and are still wondering why your coins are still in your wallet
that because all i did was open your wallet file and credit your account on the exchange with the amount in your wallet
so what time are we looking at for tomorrow
at 07:30am GMT +1 i will log back in to here and see what you have all sent / said
i will then post the full 10K results, As you are all looking at that i will finish the Snowballs side.
the DEADLINE for me is 1pm to get it all done.
I know a lot of you will not be happy and might even call SCAM etc but please don't its just taking longer that we thought.
i have kept you all unto date as much as i could
thanks
Paul
Paul,
You are doing a great job. Do not take crap from anyone. You and Spots both are doing a great bit of work in a short time along with keeping communication and support going.
There will always be mistakes, people to complain, and people who need more hand-holding than others (for example I am still learning wallet commands), but know that most of us recognize the hard work and appreciate it.
The only constructive critisicm I could give is to make a document and have a single link to one location where that document is stored. Have that document be project specific with any instructions or updates. This way every time someone does not read the thread (or has a "real life" issue which makes them unable to read the first page of the thread) you can spam the link to that document and they can catch up without reading several pages.
Many of us are going to read that document and read every page of any thread but a resource such as that will only serve to help you guys communicate consistent information. It does not need to be a pretty web page. A simple white page with black text, or even the same thing in a random empty dropbox is fine. As long as we know it is officially from you and spots we can check it for news without anyone worrying they missed something. You guys have shown you know how to implement security in your sites so we would not be concerned someone had tampered with it.
Of course this would have taken a few minutes of time away from getting other things done, so maybe appoint someone on your team as communications director, and have them maintain the document but you could still pop in and do your thing however you felt like. Something the community could always depend on having the "breaking news". I offer myself in lieu of the alternative and would be honored to be a part of helping in any way. I am not saying you guys haven't been fantastic at talking with us, and man you jump on them quick, but I think it would help streamline many things and free up more time for both of you to have a single person to post and update official information for people to reference.
It is easy for all of us to armchair quarterback after any event has occurred. We can all say what we would have done differently, or should have would have, but I want to make sure people realize the work, transparency and explanations you and spots always seem ready to give.
Even today, with you guys knee deep in the transfer Spots have given me fantasmatic customer support helping me with my Gorillastake account setup. (I plan to do a full review.)
He could have told me he is too busy with the swap, and put me off, but he took the time to answer and help me with some things and most experienced crypto guys would have been severely frustrated, and maybe he was but if so, he never broke a sweat or let it show.
I have been following Spot's coins since January and my only regret is I did not buy / mine much more. I have recently signed up at GorillaStake.com for MMXIV, GorillaTeeth, and GorillaBucks. I do not intend to sell, haven't sold a single coin yet, and plan to enjoy the ride wherever it takes us -- especially having fun on the new GorillaEx exchange trading for value.
From what I have seen you guys maintain security, a business-minded sense of maturity when appropriate, and still be real people without being jerks we see so common with several others "CEO" types in our small community. When it comes to the seriousness of handling someone's money I use one word to define what you guys have shown through this as
class. Thank you for all of your hard work to Spots, you, and anyone else you have working with you on these projects. It is definitely appreciated!
