From the little I have played around with core and memory settings I feel that:

- Core clock increases G/s a little (say +100, +200 is unstable).
- Memory clock does not, so not so memory sensitive imo.
- Decreasing power limit doesn't save too much energy for the G/s lost & neither does the CPU offload option.
Running at +100 core for NVDIA & stock for AMD (unstable and no real increase whatever you do).

The Mimblewimble Protocol and Grin received a lot of attention from Bitcoin maximalists, even from Theymos and Cobra! It is quite interesting what will other maximalists will say in the end ("another Bitcoin wannabe shitcoin"  Roll Eyes). For now, it's quiet.

I would like to ask if a linux website hosting is fine as my wallet?
I have access to SSH and I can type any command there as an admin. My problem I don't know if it's ok to use because I also use this website hosting including my website?

If regulated through Pl. (75%) then the voltage per core is above 1000mV, then the video card does not work well. Lower consumption is higher hashrate, does not sound likely, but it is a fact! Deliver a fixed voltage of 925 mV and add overclock on the core, which would be about the same value as with 75% pl.


I compared the bminer and gminer on a grinmint bminer gives a larger hash, but a rather high percentage of rejects. The gminer gives a slightly smaller hash rate, but this is offset by the lack of rejects. It should be borne in mind that the gminer loads the processor more than the bminer. The next test that I’ll run is bminer on f2pool (bminer has fewer rejects on this bullet) and grinmint on gminer. 2 identical rig. I like both the miner and the competition between them.


In our mining experience ...

Less rejects is MUCH more favourable than higher hash. We (specifically I) have been a miner since the beginning, so in my books, gminer with less rejects will amount to a much better track record than a higher hashing miner with much more rejects. As I look at this in the coming days, it is specifically for the CWI IntraMining System, so I would only every go for the most optimized version.

These versions of course would need to work with Fedora 27/29 x64 OS as all our miners are based on Fedora 27 currently, with a couple CentOS 7 and Fedora 29 miners as well.

Seems you get good figures. What cards are these 1080TI?

I have only 1070 and 1070Ti. 8 * 1070Ti bminer - 36.6 / gminer 34.8 - 900mV

Regarding rejects. Bminer has a problem not on all pools. Therefore, it is not correct to say that he is worse / better than the gminer.

At the moment, both miners are actively developing. You have to choose the pool and miner that will be better for you.

Stratum is always a difficult thing to tweak to miners, so I assume this is what may be the thing that could be the pivot to performance. I will ask our Developer and see what could be setup, and if not too much issue, maybe add it to our Citrine Mine also. Seems to be a great many mining, so it would be interesting to see.

Awesome! I heard about grin a few months ago and almost forgot about it. It's still extremely different from what I'm used to, what with there being no addresses etc, but I'm excited to learn more. Time for a crash course before the 15th.

Running it on my Vega64, 3.1-3.2 G/s, best speed so far on AMD cards.

That said, for NVDIA chipsets, GMiner 1.22 is out as of yesterday, giving similar speeds with the latest version of bminer, 1080ti=6.2 G/s
Also it does not require Cuda 9.2 or higher Wink

I just started mining Grin in grinmint.com (Win10, AMD). I've created account in BitForex, as this seemed like the most straight-forward way to get a wallet address where I can send the mined coins (when confirmed etc).
Can somebody who has already went through that explain the process - once there are mined coins in GrinMint, how to get them in BitForex with min.risk?

Another question - I saw some topics for Bminer being the fastest miner. I have AMD cards, so it doesn't work with them, right?

RX 580, 8GB gives me ~ 1,5 gps - is that OK, good or bad?

It was a pretty efficient spot to be w/ GGM.  Grin Pro (basically new vers of GGM) gives a massive bump to 2 gps w/ same settings.

Where can one find this Grin Pro miner, is it a paid version?
