No it is not at all. It is a combination of several coins. Darkcoin does not have automatic checkpoints or fast confirms, it also only has 22m coins.

Hey mpalenciac.  You're a real funny guy but it doesn't change the fact that I am right about this coin and about the punk dev.  The facts speak for themselves.  You can't challenge my facts so you instead attack me personally.  That's typically what losers do when they know that they're wrong but refuse to admit it.  

How am I a scammer when all I have done was try to stop people from wasting their time on another shitclone coin that isn't needed, has nothing to offer other than being easy to mine, and lacks a competent developer?  I'll admit that I can be extremely abrasive but that's who i am.  I'm not a scammer and I'm not a troll.  If I can keep one shitcoin from being launched then everything I do is worth it.  I believe in crypto and want it to succeed.  But it is being destroyed by these fly by night punks and their clone coins that are destroying the reputation of the entire crypto world.  People are being scammed daily and many of those people will leave and never return.  They'll also tell anyone that will listen how the crypto world is nothing but a bunch of thieves and ponzi schemes.  This is already hurting the crypto reputation tremendously.  Instead of attacking the messenger you should listen to the message.

I want nothing more than for crypto to succeed and replace the stranglehold that the multinational banks have on our finances.  That's not going to happen if crypto is destroyed by selfis punks like carsen who treats crypto like a hobby or nothing more than playing a game of billiards.  He just wants to create a coin so he can brag about it.  He has no concern for the future welfare of crypto.  If he did he wouldn't be launching clonecoin after clonecoin just because he can.

You defend this punk yet you attack me when my only goal is to try and help crypto from sinking further into the bowels of shit.  

 

I think everyone should just click the Ignore button next to scam_exposer and keep reporting him until a moderator of this site finally bans him. (No offense but bitcointalk mods are very slow, this guy has been causing damage for awhile now to multiple coins)....

For those that are here for Hashcoin. The network is running stable, pools are all up, block explorer with API is in the works, just working on the domain right now

It's a clone of DarkCoin complete with the same retargeting issues that people are complaining about here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0  Now I don't think DarkCoin is a scam but why do we need an identical clone of DarkCoin?  Carsen has even stated that he plans on implementing DarkSend.  Here's the problem, DarkCoin has one of the best Developers around.  When issues arise he's able to fix them.  This punk knew something was wrong after he launched this coin but pretended as if everything was just fine.  He even asked what to do about it because he didn't have a clue.  When nobody was going to fix his code he decided to just let it ride and allow millions of coins to be mined in the first day or two.  There are already 30,000 coins on the exchanges it's listed on and absolutely no buyers and thousands more coins being mined by the minute.

Waiting until block 15,000 is not a solution.  But it's the only thing that this punk can do because he doesn't know what to do to fix the coin.  A High School course in C++ doesn't make you a developer.  I bet 50% of the people on this forum could do exactly what this punk has done.  Copied code off of github, find/replace, make an ANN post and hope for the best.

I don't see how anyone is going to recoup their lost time and resources they used to mine this coin because all the buyers are mining it themselves because it's been so easy to mine.  Just for kicks I setup a miner before I went to sleep last night.  I woke to 5000 coins and I had a low hashrate.  What's even more concerning is that this punk plans on implementing something as complicated as darkSend when it's open sourced.  This punk does not have the knowlege to maintain anything and as soon as this coin derails he'll be begging competent developers to help him out.

If this punk knew how to do anything other than cut and paste clone a coin then he would have fixed the retargeting last night, released new wallets and source, and forked the coin.  But he couldn't so he just let it ride and everyone mining a coin that is going to have no value because of the millions of coins that were instamined.  It's slowed down now that the diff is at 4 but maxminers is getting 50 blocks an hour / 6000 coins at 350 mh.  Hashcoin pool is getting about half that.  The network hashrate is about 700 mh.  so that's about 100 blocks an hour or approximately 12000 coins.  There is still 3500 blocks until 15000 or 460,000+ coins.  So less than 48 hours from launch there will have been 3,000,000 or so coins mined out of a total Max Coins: ~44,000,000 or somewhere around 6 - 7% of the total coin.  All that in 48hrs from launch.

Now who's going to buy this DarkCoin clone that doesn't have DarkSend and likely never will because implementing it is out of this punks scope of knowlege?  There will be millions being dumped basically making this coin worthless.  But hey, Carsen thanks everyone for mining his badass coin.  He's got two of them you know, not counting timecoin that got left in the past as this punk moved on to creating another coin because it's his hobby.  Carsen wants to thank all the miners for supporting his crypto education.  Your reward is thousands of coins mined easily.  What you do with them is your problem because carsen is off to launch another clone of whatever coin interests him at the moment.

You could have been mining a coin that you could make a profit on.  Instead everyone will be dumping on everyone for those buyers that don't show up.  People complain about a 2% premine.  This instamine is three times that.

I did not instamine anything? I started solo mining the moment I released along with other miners. The difficulty will adjust. I could change it if you gave a better educated suggestion...Maybe on what block you think it should change at?

I had left Timecoin because I knew it wasen't what I wanted to create. It was more a test of my skills and launching and just to experience coin building in a whole and to learn Smiley

I dont believe TMC ever really went in the gutter, Source code is still available and I think the blockchain is still intact if someone put up a seednode, it just doesn't have nodes I believe and its built off an older version of Litecoin...

The difficulty should start being better after block 15,000 which we are close to! Diff is at 4.0 and Block Reward is 132 HASH

It was at diff 1 for the first 9000 or so blocks.  People were getting 400+ coins a minute.  Millions of coins mined already and it hasn't even been 24hrs since launch.  With Max Coins: ~44,000,000 that's around 5% insta/premine in the hands of a few.
