Developers forgot about this thread from a long time ago.
they don't want to add legit exchanges.
How do you know they don't want to add other exchanges?
I think they do and it seems best to get some things in order first.
I told you before selling you my coins that it is a bad investment. Here is what is going on with exchanges I think I owe you this...
Fimk made a statement months ago he will not be "asskissing" at bittrex. Yes he said it like that or similar. He said that users can try to get heat on bittrex and they tried. But as it is crystal clear an exchange wants to speak to the heat team directly and not to some of their fanboys. So yes bittrex was pretty pissed and the heat heads had pretty much screwd up to get on an exchange like bittrex.
Well poloniex is out of their league, they are laughing over there at heat.
Another problem to get on an exchange is that nothing is working. Try it out, nothing works as presented. Would an exchange like to have such a client on their servers? .Well I think you can figure it out yourself. At least I wouldn't. What are they telling their users? Well they promised it could handle 100k tx per second but yeah it does not work but we added it anyway? Come on be realistic. The exchanges have a responsibility towards their users too.
Heat forks so damn often you would need an own team just for the support of this crappy coin. Is it worth it? Of course not. Heat looks like a scam, in my opinion it is a scam. They are not reliable, they had contracts with c-cex and alcurex and deadlines were involved. Well they did not meet these deadlines and those exchanges are already pissed at them.
How long do you think users need to wait until an exchange accepts heat deposits? I promise you if an exchange would accept heat right now, an attacker would be able to trick the exchange wallet onto a different chain and rip them off and they wouldn't even notice it until it is too late.
The server is not open source. If it is a scam, maybe there are backdoors in the software like we have seen with I think lucky7 coin or something like that where they had a backdoor in the server software in order to get into the network of an exchange. So closed source is a bit unwelcome in the blockchain world. In fact it is absolutely unwelcome in the cryptoworld in general as a crypto system has to stand against attacks even if it is known how it works.
You see the problem? There is no reason for any exchange to ever get heat on board. Do a SWOT analysis and you will see what I mean. Fuck it I will start:
SWOT analysis on offering HEAT at an exchange:Strengths:
- Integration is same as with NXT
Weaknesses:
- Forks all the time.
- Weak community.
- Broken promises by devs
- Almost no volume
- Savage is kind of a condescending dickwad
- only one dev, WTF?!
- Team cares more about money than user satisfaction.
Opportunities:
- Maybe it will someday do 100k tps, but it is VERY unlikely
Threats:
- Need bigger supportteam for heat integration -> maybe more costs than benefits
- Closed source
- negative promo
- Users will blame us when they bought and nothing works
- Maybe it is a scam
- Maybe it poses a security risk when integrating it
- STEWIEG! xD
Now you don't need to attack me personally but can actually discuss about some facts. And all that for free thanks to your good ol pal StewieG ^^
