Yeah, but I have three addresses there already. One I used to receive some coins I bought, one is the savings (HOdling) wallet and the third is where the "change" went when I did the transfer.
I'm assuming the change wallet was the original one, and that mined coins will go there, but just don't know.

Yeah. Seems like he's "moved on" to CNC routing. Sheesh, that's so 1980s. Not to worry, I know lots of geeks, just posted a msg to Facebook looking for someone with a spare PC.

If you click the GUI button for Solo mining or use the setgenerate true -1 it will mine to that wallet it is using the CPU on unless you put some extra commands in to redirect mined blocks to another wallet

I just couldn't impress upon him that he only needed a fast CPU. Seems he already knows everything.

I have a friend who is a total gamer nut and has a bunch of superfast PCs. I've asked whether he'd like to mine some coin for me. Which is the best processor in terms of running cost per coin?
running cost is minimal.. if the PC is already running your simply running the CPU at 100% that wattage bump should be hardly noticed.. I mean if he has a farm of 20 PC's then he may make you pay the cost to run them..

You can multiply your hashrate to miningmemory, so your hashrate is actually 64h/s.
That's worse then the 67H/s he got from using just standard settings without doubling anything.

As an overall average you should see a 10% increase.. this will vary with different systems..
personally i'll keep it in default and wait for a cpuminer

Nice concept dev! My poor old T60 laptop only gets 2H/s so I bought 250 HOdl and stored them, maturing just before Xmas. The squirrel certainly is an appropriate mascot. Assuming a linear rise in value my AU$29.33 investment should be worth a little over AU$640 by then.
