I just have a look at messaging app development like whatsapp. It takes 1800 - 2300 hours with team of 5-6 devs, so approximately 4 months.

https://djangostars.com/blog/how-much-does-it-cost-to-build-a-messaging-app-like-whatsapp/

In our case, we know they are 2 devs so it could take 1 year to have a product.

Nevertheless, I agree it don't explain the lake of communication...

Let's just hope this is the case why the dev hasn't been on here, let's just hope that maybe the reason why he hasn't been on here is because he's been focusing all his time working on the development of the project but honestly though I'm kind of doubting it, I have a strong feeling that the dev has already abandon this project but let's just hope I'm wrong. I really do wish that the dev could just go on here and just post something, any words from him is way better than nothing. Atleast he could just talk about the whitepaper or the website or maybe what he's been recently doing, just little updates could really help strengthen our faith regarding the future of this project.
very well said bro, Dev has always been updating us on Telegram but of recent, no one has had from him, I personally can't message him anymore as all my efforts to contact him fails to deliver, I dont know what went wrong with my account but no matter what, my hope is for howl will always be alive
Fivestar why you are trusting this HOWL project even after all this happening....is it because your heart says this or you know the dev in anyway as i see you are the one you still trust HOWL and the most active one in this project.

...now the coin is dead, because the last post of the dev was in january. It's very sad to see, but I think that this is one of the big crypto problems: Lot's of projects only have one dev and if he or she has no more interest in the Coin the project dies and the investors loose their money.

Does it really look that horrible? I don't quite remember any ICO accociated with HOWL. Only airdrop.
HOWL is no longer totally an airdrop project cus many people that got the airdrop already sold and people who bought the token actually used their hard earned money to buy them,  I personally bought a few hundred of thousands with my money, added to the ones I got in the airdrop, everything sitting in my wallet now, so if eventually things go bad as it seems now  , didn't I loose my money?

Welcome back 🙏
Please dev you cannot be so much busy that you just cannot come online for 1 minute in every 10-15 days and give us a small update...Or just come here once and say this project is dead and ended now...its not good keeping all of us in a never ending hope
Totally agree with you.informing regularity to the community about the project is also a major part of the program..I don’t think he is serious enough for this project otherwise he doesn’t show that kind of behaviour
things gradually going from bad to worst
Last time I read his update, he said he's having some personal challenges, ever since then, he hasn't replied any pm, let's continue hoping for the best
Ya things have gone down to worst...even i dont know why i keep checking this thread once every week but week after week i dont hear any good news...actually now i have lost all the hope about this HOWL token seriously

Does it really look that horrible? I don't quite remember any ICO accociated with HOWL. Only airdrop.

That person definitely don't know anything about this project, if he's been here from the start nor if he researched about this project then he'll realize that there wasn't any investors involved and you're right there was No ICO associated with howl. Howl is an airdrop coin and ever since from the beginning the original dev was very transparent that it was just him working on this project and the reason why he can't continue anymore was because of the lack of funds, he was using his own funds to support this project that's why the new dev came along to help save this project. But he's right though having only one dev is really bad for any project and it's one of the biggest crypto problems right now. If the dev doesn't have any time nor interest towards the project then the project will end up being abandon and the community are just left with nothing but hope that maybe one day the dev will come back and bring the project back to life.

I know a lot about this project and I was here from the start of the project. I had nearly 100.000 HOWL from airdrop and bountys and sold lot's of them. The people who bought the token I sold are investors, what else? So of course there are investors who invested money in this project. Only because there was no ICO and the people bought their token at exchanges you can't say that there are no investors and no people who lost money!

Well okay you have a point here but if you do know a lot about this project then why did you say that the coin is dead?. Didn't you read about the message that the dev sent on one of the members on here just weeks ago? He said that he's currently working on this project and he just needed some more time to complete what he's currently doing. I think that statement just proves that the coin isn't dead yet and there is still hope. I know that's just words and sometimes words can fool people but let's just give the dev some time before calling this project dead, if at the end of this year there isn't any update yet then I think that will be the time that we could all abandon this project and call it dead.

It was an airdrop but many people sold their tokens and the buyers of these tokens are sitting on their bags now. Not so different from many other airdrops.
The situation is still kinda weird as the dev has taken over from the old one claiming he had the time and resources to continue the project. It's not a scam since the dev only got some spare token which are worthless now. If he thinks there is no future for Howl he could just say so and we could move on. This hasn't happened. Instead, in one of his rare Telegram appearances he has said he needed more time and still believes in the success of the project even this year. This is why there is still a little hope.
So we are like restless souls bound to this place by our tokens and waiting for salvation that may never come.  Wink

I think we went away like lots of others devs in some good projects. If you take a look at POS Token, we had 3 or 4$ in the ATH, now the coin is dead, because the last post of the dev was in january. It's very sad to see, but I think that this is one of the big crypto problems: Lot's of projects only have one dev and if he or she has no more interest in the Coin the project dies and the investors loose their money.

Yeah right now it's best to just use your avatar and signature slot for a project that's very active and that's currently in it's ico stage, in that way while waiting for the howl project to come alive again, you still have something to make money from. Same here I'm also still holding the tokens, I think selling the tokens right now will be a huge no-brainer. This project's been inactive for the past few months now no real updates etc. so the price is still very low for it's true value and seeing no one is talking about this project on facebook nor twitter, I doubt someone will buy some howl at this moment. To the community right now let's just all wait for some updates and maybe if we're lucky by the end of this year howl can finally be alive once again.

To be honest I don't really have faith in a dev that can't even update the community once in a while.
