Hey, the site definitely does not mine anything in the background. You can can look at the page's source code to see that there is no CoinHive tag. Another way to know if a site is mining in the background is to watch your processor and see if it start ramping up when you use when you enter a certain site.

Note: Thank you for all the support, ~~I think the wave of traffic from the launch may have taken the site down temporarily.~~
