What preclude two people from choosing the exact same secret phrase when creating a wallet, other than it being highly probable?  Would both parties not have control of the wallet?

This topic has been brought up many times since bitcoin first introduced this method in 2013.

In short, yes, if you chose a simple phrase and someone else did the same. You would each have control of the same set of private keys.

In reality this is highly unlikely, and the math is out there in regards to guessing a phrase.

With 10,000 computers guessing 1 billion seeds / second (not at all feasible to check balances that fast), then assuming there are 2 million funded wallets (there aren't - there are only 2 million non-zero addresses on the blockchain) then,
3.402823669×10³⁸ / 10,000 / 1x109 / 2x106 = 1.701411835×10¹⁹ seconds to find any one of those seeds. Which is about,
539514153540 years

I think we will highlight what type of phrase should be used more prominently and possibly link off to a mnemonic phrase generator

It's hard to imagine that there are two people who creates the same secret phrase of 9 (nine!!!) words. Besides, you can always use a private key or wallet.dat

Hey all!

We have just finished porting a very basic web wallet for our community to use. We are actively working on customizing it and will serve as a stop-gap for HushNG (which will be cross-platform and web-enabled).

https://wallet.myhush.network/

A quick Q&A: https://www.reddit.com/r/Myhush/comments/7dpcl0/hush_web_wallet_now_live/

Checked the online wallet. Works very fast, no errors. Made a test deposit of Cryptopia. It would be convenient to add automatic selection of the fee. And of course you need to run explorer.myhush.org

0 connection again. on cryptopia. must be maintenance. i just send hush to cryptopia then i check the coinsinfo its 0 connection.

Unfortunately Cryptopia has been having a lot of maintenance lately. We have reached out to them to address the issue, with no response made on their part. We are just as frustrated as everyone else.

As far as Hush confirmation times, everything is normal. All issues you are facing are centralized to Cryptopia and how they manage their services. Always check our explorer to see what (the blockchain sees).

Is the chain really slow right now? I sent a transaction from my wallet to cryptopia hours ago and it says confirmed in wallet, but no sign of it on cryptopia. I've confirmed the address is correct.
Once my transaction been going 1:30 hour , i paid 0,009 hush fee Which is much more than regular soo be patient.

When more exchanges?

To enter the new exchange requires profound changes in the project. Team HUSH now doing it. In the meantime, we use Cryptopia and Tradesatoshi.

I believe that it is just a matter of time. This is a solid project and sooner or later new exchanges will open their markets for HUSH.

Looks good so far the team has exceeded my expectation and post frequent update this coin. XLR, ZOI, and HUSH are definitely my cheap low marketcap community based coins that I expect to see leaps and bounds as far as the price is concerned just takes time and patience. Thanks for all the updates the team does especially with the HUSHParty updates on when that will be ready.

Hello,

Thanks for the nice words! We realized that in the past progress / updates posted to the community have been lacking. The team is more active than ever and I am working (on top of being a core developer) to help keep our community informed across multiple channels.

Thank you for being a part of our community.

Hey all!

Core dev here. Cross-posting from Twitter Smiley.

Working on a new version of http://myhush.org  with one of our new designers, @Luge_io. The new portal will be based on #VueJS and feature a much more detailed / granular road-map section. Stay tuned!

I think if all resources are ready, it can easily list on a bigger exchange, let's the developer have the time to prepare all of that.

Is the dev team planning on implementing masternodes?

Hello,

we are not planning to implement master nodes at this time. Master nodes, in our opinion, help to centralize the network. We will be, however, enabling secure nodes very soon with a TLS-based implementation.

It is possible that we may replace this initial implementation with BIP 151 in the future.
