Hey HeavyCoin Miners! I've created a Wiki for HVC! It's still under development, but the Hardware Comparison page is up. Please start sending your config information to [email protected]

I will add in configurations as they are submitted! Hope this helps you all Smiley

Its great thing but useless couse tomorow they will release a new "improved" miner!

I realize that it can be pretty volatile until we get the final optimized miners, but I know that as a new miner when I'm looking at getting into a coin, knowing my expected hashrate so I can calculate profits is really helpful before I invest too much time.

What I'm trying to do is expand who can mine HVC so we can get wider adoption. I've created the Hardware Comparison and a HeavyCoin Mining Guide to help get new miners straight into HVC.

Hey HVC'ers something I think we forget about while mining this amazing gem of a currency, is how awesome it is to have a democratic vote on the final coin count for our crypto. One of the biggest issues bitcoin has (and ltc for that matter) is the possible economic impact their coin has with its limited supply.  Yet with Heavycoin, it is up to us where the supply stops. I know its easy to just leave the vote on 512 and roll out our rigs, but let's take a step back, think longterm, and really start realizing how much this affects all supporters of HVC.

Many people are loving hvc for multiple reasons, apparently our coin doesn't care if the rest of the market is in the toilet haha! Yet price is just the beginning, we need real world adoption, options for spending and adding additional value to Heavycoin. Starting Monday with the blessing of our dev team, I will be doing what I do best and that is giving all of us a reason to use HVC not just as a speculative means to save or trade for btc, but actual currency value.

Keep spreading the word, we all want to see Heavycoin where it belongs (on the moon or better yet Jupiter!)...and we will do this working together, as a team! Have a good weekend all. Smiley

Anybody mining at heavycoinpool.com? My estimated payout has been hovering around 3 for 8 hours... Are there such things as never ending rounds?  Huh Frustrating. 11m/hash - 3 coins in 8 hours. Almost zero invalids and a decent share rate.

Not really.

This wiki will help people get the most out of what they have now based on software released now.   Yes we might get newer software that is more optimized but chances are the configuration won't change.

If nothing else it will serve as a starting point to help people optimize their cards.

Example 64, 128, 256 for -w?  What Intensity setting etc.

If nothing else, by being able to see what others are using you might get an idea or two for something you didn't think about trying on your own rig.

Carlo

However, my suggest would be to only post those that specifically mention what version of software AND date of software used.   Also for nVidia what version of ccminer is used.  IE ccminer20.exe or ccminer30.exe, etc

I now get 16.5 Mh/s (from 14 Mh/s) across all my 280x's after upgrading some of my slower hashing rigs from Catalyst 13.1 to 13.11 beta 9.5 driver.
Seems 13.12 also works well as my friends use that with same hash rate. This is with -I 8 -g 1 -w 64 and VIP at 1GH pool using latest 3-27 cgminer.

What gpu clock, default or OC ?
Tnx

I am currently mining at Zhpool with 2 r9 270 hash rate showing in my computer 10M per card total of 20M.
But the website interface showing only 15M hash power? i checked multiple times it varys from 10M to 15M never seen 20M as actual number.

Traveling in subspace
i'm having 3 290, with the newest miner, each can reach 21m, but one of the 3 doesn't work, anyone has some ideas about this
Does it list the card as "off" in the cmd window or does it show 0 hash rate? Try restarting your computer.

hi,

what is your setings??

I am only able to reach 17 mH/s

greetings
Make sure you have the latest optimized miner.  And FWIW TC settings mean nothing when mining HVC. Mine are all set @ 0.

Hey is there a reduction in power consumption mining this coin instead of the regular scrypt based coins?

For example what does a 270X use from the wall?

Dont know about 270x but 4x 280x rig pulls about 550-600w from the wall compared to ~1150w with scrypt  Wink

I think adding very low energy use and Nvidia friendly to the subject would bring a lot of attention to this coin  Cool
