jakiman is back!
I cannot get both of my 4 x 280x rigs to hash faster than 8MH/s per card. (Tried both v4 and 1GH miner)
But I have a single 280x in another PC and with identical settings, I can get it hashing at 9MH/s.
Same 13.1 driver. 1200MHz. 1.2v. I tried lower clock/mem speed but it just lowers the hash rate. I get no HW errors.
So I'm not sure why I'm hashing over 10% less with both of my 4 card rigs. Any ideas?

UPDATE: I removed GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS (from bat and registry) and changed the worksize to 64 and now I'm hashing away at 9.3MH/s each.  Grin

I think the block reward is still to high for the coin.. Vote LOW!

To make this coin viable & increase the liquidity there must be enough coins in circulation first & to make this, early vote should be on middle side (not too high in order to prevent dumping) & not so low (in order to prevent less circulation) so around 500-700 coins per block is fair enough at this moment while we are still in early days of the coin. Once we have enough coins in circulation then only HVC can hit major exchanges like Cryptsy & if after that block reward decreases, it will ultimately give big profit to early birds who started mining during early days & of course holding like a boss.

Missed some posts...

Can someone please explain me why miners are hopping like stupid from one pool to another? Heavycoinpool.com was mining smoothly last two days with over 2000Mh/s and found 41 blocks in last 24 hours, they even donated miners with an extra bounty 175 HVC per block. When I calculated I got even better paid then on 1Gh. Well, it's not so easy to compare just by taking calculator, but roughly I can say I haven't earned less then on 1Gh in average. Now when the bounty is over, everybody switching somewhere else. I don't really get it, what's the problem with you guys! Is it just greed and attempt to maybe earn more on other pool?
In short? Yes.  Mind you, I got more on heavycoinpool than I did on the others.  However, given the low rate of finding blocks during my tests, I was almost starting to wonder if something was misconfigured either on my end or at hvcpool's end.  They started catching up later, but I can well imagine some miners having thought ".. I *was* getting HVC at the other pool, and here I get nothing, I'm switching back" after just a few hours.  Such is the bane of low pool hash rates with high difficulty, I guess Smiley

Got two positive delta with big number from TheRealSteve's chart, http://heavycoin.zhpool.com is surely in a good shape. the best server really counts.
For anybody wanting to check out the pools, I'd say at least look at the graphs rather than the tables.  The tables are just 12-/24-hour spot checks.. which is fine if people stick around 'their' pool, but with people hopping pools (as per the above), pools' (estimated) hash rates can vary a bit even when using the 1-hour averaged out values Smiley
As an aside, I'm still getting errors from the website quite often - I know it doesn't affect the mining pool, but it can be off-putting Smiley

I'm making a heavycoin MPOS pool.
I don't think you've actually set it up fully yet, but for when you do.. already tracking it.

TheRealSteve can u give us chart and pool list?
Something is hiting network realy hard and i cant see from where is that power coming.
All pool have a stable hash power but HVC network is jumping from 30 to 40+ GHs, and diff is geting wild.
I could, but it would be pretty boring.. as far as I can tell from the numbers, the pools I'm monitoring are indeed stable.. so if you're seeing weirdness, then maybe there's a new one (public/private) or somebody with too much hashing power figuring they'd point their rigs at HVC for S&G Smiley  I'll post what I've got in 8ish hours (24 hours after last update).
Note that heavychain.info shows 29.11Ghash/s, which is a slight bit under that last update.. so maybe you just saw some momentary jumps/drops (I get those in individual pools sometimes and have to zeronull them out to keep the graphs faithful).

If you check out bradmurmz' graphs (example), you'll see that difficulty jumping around is pretty much the norm - If the vote starts jumping up and down, I'd be quirking all three eyebrows Smiley

This coin looks nice, with overkill with scrypt and asic soon, some GPU coin`s will take a lead, this one look like good candidate Smiley

A lot better then fuking scam HARD forked crap called max coin!

lol maxcoin was such a scam.

I have problem running CGMiner (The latest one posted on 1GH on 20th Mar. ) with .config file.
When I run cgminer.exe directly it gives me an error like Unauthorized-Access & obviously 100% reject due to this. However when I run .bat file it works fine. I haven't written .config file myself but it was written first running the miner with .bat file then going to setting  & then Write config file [w].
Due to this issue I am not able to use this miner along with CGWatcher (as it works with .config file only).
Please advice me to overcome this issue. Thanks.

The best advice would be mining with us at http://heavycoin.zhpool.com Cheesy

Anyway, you could edit the .conf file, and double check if your user name is set to an available HeavyCoin receiving address.

Kaiser just declared a war on HeavyCoin,...

Are you referring to the announced block reward changes by the Maxcoin devs or did he say something about HVC?

I thought he mean this.

MAX and HVC will be best GPU coin for miners during this summer, so the profit will drive miners' choice.

just small diffrience between max and hvc, with hvc u can make 100x times more and its not roof, but with max i think harder push price 100times , maybe 10x - 30times Smiley

exactly!

Is it just as effective to mine HVC via the wallet app than an external app?
external app has so much higher performance.

You can always download latest software at http://heavycoin.zhpool.com, and you are welcome to mine with us Smiley

Thanks.

why don´t we all play a speculation game? when do you think HVC will be traded at 0.0001 BTC?
My vote: 1 Month

Ah... I would say 1 month is a little short for HVC to reach 0.0001, I think it's around August Smiley

August?!?!?    Shocked      ...either I am too optimistic or you are too pessimistic...

Hey, I am not pessimistic, I have the faith in HVC, that's why we run the HVC pool with best servers.

I would say it is strategy, many people could easily pump HVC for the market capacity is so small at present.

Kaiser just declared a war on HeavyCoin, we can save our bullets before MaxCoin make their first move and we should give faithful miners the chance to earn more coins before all GPU miners rush into HVC;)
