Isn't 1gh a version of p2pool? I don't have a worker and I am using my hvc address....

Other pools do that too that aren't using p2pool.

Look, the discussion of 1GH having to much hash rate and the need to move to other pools, is correct on short-term, but ends up being flawed in the big picture.

The core issue is the hassle of using a MPOS vs an anonymous, no-login pool where you use wallet address as username like 1GH. This is what should be looked into, in the long term.

I gladly moved from 1GH to dwarfpool when I was mining MAX, due to excessive hash rate. It was easy and hassle free to move from one no-login pool to another. I will not gladly do so if I have to deal with MPOS registration, login, email confirmation to unlock, set up workers and other redundant crap, because I'm FUCKING fed up of it. I've done it 30+ times at least since Aug 2013. I believe enough is enough.

Of course, that's just me ...

Yeah, that's fucking true, too many registrations in 993257 pools!

+1

yup, im avoiding using MPOS pool, they are crap

yes!?
1gh need shutdown for a while, let hashs turn into other pools/
Too drastic. But if 1gh were to start raising their fees, that might do the trick.

that means, we all have regulations that "never" should be in the cryptocurrencies i think

this info is great, thanks

HeavyCoin guys should add that info (realtime) to their page.  I was going to add number of miners, but 1gh doesn't seem to publish that information.  Can't even make a guesstimate based on top 100 Smiley

many pp don't like all hashrate on 1gh. I'm switch to hvc.nonce-pool.com 1GH hashrate

Well done!

We strongly encourage more people to use pools other than 1GH (eg. heavycoinpool.com, heavy.stablehash.com and hvc.nonce-pool.com) as it is important for decentralization.

We will soon offer some additional bounties to the pools, which must be given away to pool members proportional to their shares.  This will help "boostrap" the pools by allowing them to reward pool members until they build up enough hash rate and solve more blocks.  Hopefully this will help.
