THis is a joke , after 7 hours the pools are not working.
Dev and friends are solo mining with big rigs till they are rich enoufh, then they will open pools , after that they will dump the coins.
Sadly..

Just STFU will you, I mean I can ignore you but really just shut your face you ignorant fuck. I hope you have downs or something because that is the only reason to act this way and I apologize then for picking on the retarded

You obviously invested in the IPO.  Now that the coin has turned out to be an epic failure your only recourse is to lash out at anyone calling this coin the joke/failure it is.

No I'm not retarded.. I dont buy ipo's lolz, I'm trying to mine this coin with a pool. And no pools are working , still after 7 hours.
This is just a failure. Even maxcoin's launch was more smooth.

7 hours? 6 hours since the announce, but real launch was delayed about 2 hours. This coin is about 4 hours old right now.

Comparing to Maxcoin? Obviously you weren't at that launch

PS: I have been mining for 4 hours, 0 coins and waiting for pools opening, too!

someone is using cpuminer-heavycoin to mine?

I'm trying to use it, but it returns HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401

The ip is right and rpcport is 7202

and with -P option?
it works with the patches I provided a little time ago.
do you have minerd compiled on windows version?

Hooray. We have one ignorant person getting another ignorant person to use bad language that also has the benefit of being insensitive to handicapped people. Welcome to the Internet.

To the original idiot, here's a thought: if 1000+ people all show up at launch to try and mine a heavily promoted new coin, perhaps -- just PERHAPS -- you and your single CPU aren't likely to find any coins in the first few hours. It's not all the dev and his friends, it's EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO that is contributing hash rate to HVC and making it hard for you to find coins. Deal with it.

Some quick and dirty math suggests that in order for us to be at difficulty 20, the total network hash rate right now is approximately 716 MHash/sec. Considering an i7-4770K will do around 80 KHash, that means we have the equivalent of TEN THOUSAND i7-4770K CPUs mining HVC right now.

So if you want to solve a block, your chances with a single CPU or even multiple CPUs is pretty damn small. Even with 800 KHash available, I have not yet solved a block, and unless I get lucky I will be without any HVC until the pools get functional and I can start getting smaller payouts.

All the whining right now really amounts to this: "I thought I had a great idea to mine this coin at 0-hour and I was going to be the only one there and I'd walk away with thousands of HVC and be rich enough to move out of my parents' basement!" Apparently you weren't the only one with that idea. Shocking.

Bullshit , smartcoin had 4ghash at start , and only 1 dev organised a perfect startup with no failures. Pools worked 3 minutes after launch time.
You are full of shit.
This is instamine scam coin.

Let's have patience...but I'm in a hurry!

I understand there is a workaround, but I would just like a working Mac wallet.

I don't think anyone has posted data here. This is the problem I run into when trying to open my wallet in OSX Mavericks -

Check with the developer to make sure Heavycoin-Qt works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

Is there a different version of the OS X wallet? Not everyone has Mavericks.

It doesn't work with Mavericks anyway Sad

I really doubt devs are solo mining, or mining at all.
Why should they? Dont forget, they are now sitting at 174 btc from IPO!!! that is over 100 000 USD! From one BTC thread Cheesy Cheesy I wouldnt be surprised, if this would be all we see from devs...

DOES THIS WORK  FOR YOU?

MAC Wallet Daemon (not QT)

This should work on Macs with 64bit. Tested on Mavericks.

http://uploaded.net/file/g2gtt7rt

If it helped feel free to donate some coins Wink

HVC: H6g5JLRrLbKrksLSTXNuysQrFSu2ietmTi
BTC: 124KevnvG9H2MXGY8yK25dWev1FD5ACdgn

Not having any luck with this... can you post some instructions on usage? Otherwise OSX wallet-qt still isn't working, and the heavycoind just says that rpc is configured wrong.

Well, that message means it's working.

Here's how to make it work:
type the following with your username (shown when your run heavycoind)

nano "/Users/YOURUSERNAMEASABOVE/Library/Application Support/Heavycoin/heavycoin.conf"

Then enter the following (copy&paste works):

rpcuser=heavycoinmacuser
rpcpassword=this!is!just!a!simple!password
daemon=1
addnode=172.245.221.171
addnode=94.102.53.183
addnode=198.52.200.43
addnode=node01.heavycoin.cc

then hit "CTRL+O" then "ENTER" and then "CTRL+X"

then start the daemon again with (you have to be in the folder of the heavycoind file with the Terminal Application)

./heavycoind

check for connections and current block/difficulty: ./heavycoind getinfo
turn on mining: ./heavycoind setgenerate true <- turns on mining with full power
check mining: ./heavycoind getmininginfo <- shows your hashrate, etc
check if blocks were found: ./heavycoind listtransactions
check current vote: ./heavycoind getvote
set vote for 768: ./heavycoind setvote 768

Okay thanks for info!

It's clear from the error code on OS X that the client was built with xcode/port installed. Try that first.

It's a shame the homebrew instructions don't. work.

that's a very cynical viewpoint. I have faith in the devs.

Why do you have faith? I am slightly optimistic but that is fading.

It is true that the pools are not working.

The mining software is broke on Macs. etc

https://www.dropbox.com/s/t8jfflzrlpj3rz3/minerd

claims to have a functioning compiled miner - use at own risk

https://www.dropbox.com/s/t8jfflzrlpj3rz3/minerd

This is the linux heavycoin minerd compiled by me. Works fine, compiled fresh from the source.

sha256 sum = d2722bfc29e103fb8b5478e604325402a1e70dca749655f6fd2daa551f778b04

Going to compile the Windows minerd for you guys.

+∞

Would it also work on 64 bit Windows?

I'm running it on both Win 7 and Win 8.1 Enterprise - both being 64 bit. Running just the Windows Wallet that was provided. Seems to be running fine - though no blocks yet.

lol looks like all of you mining for free. go into the wallet and make sure your vote is set to a very low number. the range is 1-1024. I recommend a one. that's your only chance of getting coins as a small guy. I'm keeping my hands clean of this one.

i hate it when people lie..

that line is a vote on how many coins a block should consist of, it has nothing to do with your chances regarding finding blocks!

So 5 000 000 HVC has been distributed in IPO for total 173.84 BTC meaning you get 1 HVC in IPO for 0.000034 btc...
price now at exchanges around 0.00009+

wow, that is 300% investment increase just by buying IPO and dumping... hmm, I will be watching exchange rate very closely as I feel some big dump closer to 0.000034..

and congratulations to devs Shocked such an huge amount of money raised!
