3 things I want to say about the budget:

1) Transparency -- have some way for the community to see where the HYPER has gone and how much is in the balance.
2) Community Involvement -- let the community decide which projects to fund. have some kind of voting mechanism for people to vote for the projects they want to see get started/completed. people can also donate to a project or the fund, which can act like votes. Top projects are chosen based off the budget.
3) Floating Budget -- aim to keep the budget floating at a threshold for each season or chosen timeframe. if we use seasons, a simple way to decide on a budget is to keep it around the average past total HYPER expenditure per season multiplied by some arbitrary number, maybe about or more than 8 (8 seasons representing two years as a safety net or for very large projects like the MMO game).

The above can be transformed into a web app where people can propose ideas for projects, and people can vote on them and easily see where the HYPER is flowing. It allows the community to get involved and be more active. It also allows newcomers/outsiders to see how amazing HYPER is and how much work is being done. I know I, personally, would have a lot of fun just taking a glance at all the amazing projects and seeing their progresses. It also gives incentive for the project devs to get things done and perhaps allows the HYPER to be better spent depending on what the community wants.

Speaking of which, I think having a web application that can perform these duties would be a great idea, and it is something that I thought about for a bit now. What do you think? Anyone experienced with node.js or javascript in general (I also like meteor.js if you've ever heard of that)?  Smiley We can start an open-source project, and we can try to bang this out if people think it's okay. Any other ideas that I missed or anything else that could help make this a reality? Or maybe this isn't a good idea?

I agree totally. I would love to see voting on different HYPER projects eventually built into the HYPER wallet itself.

Due to the high number of transactions from the 500 000 HYPER MMO Development Fund psybits is managing and the high number of transactions from the main HYPER bounty wallet I manage, both do not display correctly on the HYPER block explorer anymore. I will move the main bounty fund to a new address so it can again be tracked on the HYPER block explorer, and I will also ask psybits to do the same with the Escrow MMO Fund.

Some large recent HYPER expenses (in last month to 8 weeks):

10 000 HYPER for initial HYPER Poker site development
2500 HYPER tip to meowball for ongoing work on HYPERGG and more
5000 HYPER for Hyperbundle.com development and to help cover costs of 15% discount
~6000 HYPER for twitter marketing
~6000 HYPER for $100 steam game competitions and associated
~5000 HYPER for signature campaigns, miscellaneous giveaways etc
10 500 HYPER for monthly Blitz for TF2, CS, and CS: GO (2 months)
1750 HYPER for monthly Assetta Corsa Racing competitions (1 month)
1750 HYPER for monthly Rust competitions (1 month)
10 000 HYPER for PR campaign
7500 HYPER to PD for HYPER wallet development
3000 HYPER to Mellon for getting HYPER on new exchanges and new merchants
1000 HYPER for HYPER dice site announced today
Much more I have probably forgotten. Many miscellaneous HYPER tips for various projects have been given such as the HYPER steam group, HYPER trading Reddit, HYPER G Mod server etc.

To try and preserve the MMO fund as much as possible I have actually been using some personal HYPER funds that I bought when HYPER was very new on the exchanges (and much cheaper than it is today) to pay some of the above, as I really did not want the fund to go below the 500 000 but it has become inevitable as I very much believe in HYPER and want to have as many awesome HYPER projects in the works as possible! I don't expect or want any of my personal HYPER I have spent returned from the project funds.

Upcoming HYPER expenses very soon (to bring down MMO Development Fund down to approx 450 000 HYPER):

10 000 HYPER for HYPER Poker site completion
5 000 HYPER for HYPER Android wallet
5 000 HYPER for website redesign at hypercrypto.com
As Ignatius knows, I have been paying most of the HYPER game server rentals with my personal BTC and I am going to pay myself back the HYPER value of these costs as they have really started to add up over the last 6 months since HYPER was launched! I have also paid for some other things with my personal BTC but I do not want a refund for these from the project funds.

A priority will be to send the HYPER MMO Development Fund and Bounty Fund to new addresses (as they have too many transactions to display on the block explorer correctly right now) so they go back to being 100% transparent.

Meowball if you want to make a web app where people can vote on, and even donate HYPER to various projects that would be awesome and I would see that project as a priority Wink

This is great! Thank you! I think having like a monthly summary report here like what you did just now would be super awesome. I know many ppl would appreciate the transparency. HYPER to the future!

Thanks meowball! It does need to be more formal but it's a start. A HYPER crowdfunding site would be great hint hint Wink, so that anyone can donate to up and coming HYPER projects as unfortunately the current rate of development is spending too much of the HYPER MMO Development Fund Sad It is great there are so many people spending their time on HYPER projects though I'm grateful to everyone who is a part of the community and wouldn't have it any other way!

EDIT: We could also have the HYPER project match the backers funding HYPER for HYPER up to 1000 HYPER for up to 5 ordinary projects and each month the community can also choose projects to be fully funded from the staking funds from the HYPER MMO Fund Wink

Edit: I think the MMO project should be started as soon as it can, even if that means halting the budget expenditures. I know it's on hold for an unspecified amount of time, but I think that is one of the big attractors, and it's on the main website and ANN subject headline and original post. It would be a disservice to the fans and to the people who think we are making an MMO when we're not. If we promised something, we should keep it or at least let people know that it's been on-hold. I know that it was one of the big attractors for me.

I have added HYPER Dice with investment option to LuckyAlt!

https://luckyalt.com/hypercrypto

Thanks LuckyAlt great game!

I'm just so proud to see a coin with a REAL WORLD purpose in gaming currency and beyond.  I don't even game but I like to invest in good ideas for the kids I have and the generation they belong to.  I've always thought playing video games would be more interesting if you are putting your skills to the test with dollars somehow.

All the best to Hyper!  Good work guys!

If you ever need help doing some audio editing or voiceovers for videos or help with graphic shows I can do that.  What do you have to lose?  You could always "not" use it.  I'll always let you preview and post as original hyper content.

I'm not to bad a dude for an old ass 38 year old lol...

BTW if you ever come to Kansas City and need support locally with whatever media stuff you need I'm your guy or I can point you in the right direction.

Thank you for the kind words! If you wanted to do some marketing "on the ground" in Kansas City feel free to PM me with your ideas Wink Also we have someone working on a video at the moment but if you don't hear from me within a month or so please remind me as we might want your help with a HYPER video in the future Wink

Hello,
I am playing HYPER Poker now it someone wants to join, please come and test it with me before we allow deposits Smiley

http://Hyperpoker.pw
The more testers we get the faster will deposits be allowed.

regards Master0

Wow Master0! I've been testing the latest build of HYPER Poker a little and I can say it is coming along nicely!

When HYPER deposits are opened for real cash games there will be 0% rake (no fees) for the first month, as well as HYPER giveaways and freerolls so we can attract lots of players. Only a few small tweaks by Master0 are needed to make HYPER Poker a great Poker playing experience I'm impressed and excited.

HYPER has been running over budget due to all of the awesome projects people are working on (Spending has been high on projects like $100 steam game competitions, PR campaigns, projects like HYPER Poker, ad campaigns, monthly game server hosting costs, HYPER gaming competitions and many other HYPER bounties being paid out).

Soon, there will only be 450 000 HYPER left in the HYPER MMO Development Fund after bounties are paid for new website design, competitions, and HYPER Poker site.

Please let me know your thoughts in the poll guys. Should we limit spending or should we keep sponsoring projects and aim for a 400 000 MMO Development Fund? Or should we tighten spending until the fund stakes back up to 500 000 HYPER? Personally I want to keep sponsoring more HYPER games and projects and would like to aim for 400 000 HYPER to be the new HYPER MMO Development Fund.

However, this is an important issue so I want the community to decide.

As there don't seem to be many trolls anymore I think it is best we keep this original HYPER thread so people can see the coin has had a long development history. Majority voted to keep this original HYPER thread also in the last poll.

Mathematically spoken it would take about 2.16 months (2 months and 5 days) to recover from 450.000 hyper to 500.000 HYPER at a 5% interest.

In the long term it would be best to always have a large development fund. If we aim for 400.000 hyper it would take 4.57 months (4 months and 17 days) to recover, so that's a lot longer. I wouldn't be surprised if more HYPER projects are being worked on, more servers are hosted. The result of that would be that even more HYPER would be spent, so it could be we run over budget even faster.

Just wanted to say that

Yes but it will take longer than 2.16 months as some spending (HYPER game server hosting costs, HYPER gaming competitions, HYPER twitter marketing (not willing to cut that) will be spending some of the staked HYPER each month.

I will put together a monthly budget when I have time so everyone can see the exact MINIMUM HYPER cost per month.

In my mind the difference between 400 000 and 500 000 is arbitrary and HYPER is most likely going to be worth a lot more soon so in real terms the 400 000 will be worth more than 500 000 is now anyway. If we go to 400 000 that would be the new fund amount it would be too detrimental to not sponsor any projects until the fund is back to 500 000 from 400 000. And we get more exciting projects like the Poker site rather than waiting 2 months or more to be able to pay development for more projects like that!

More game servers doesn't mean more HYPER has to be spent each month (except hosting) as people can integrate HYPER in ways where people spend HYPER in the server too.

400 000 is still plenty of HYPER, it will stake more than enough each month to cover the minimum costs of the HYPER project and will also allow for some big projects every month or two as well. But that is my view which is why I have opened it for voting!

I meant to say that we have to deduct the current costs, so that indeed it will take longer. Forgot to include that in my post somehow, so yea would probably take a bit longer. I certainly don't want HYPER to cut on the big projects like the PR campaign and gaming competitions. And for the game servers I meant indeed the hosting alone (which can be costly at times). But you are right when (if) HYPER is going to be worth more soon the difference wouldn't really matter.

Both have their own advantages and disadvantages ...

I feel like we should be careful with spending just because it can be a slippery slope ... Now I don't mean this in anyway bad I'm just trying to say that the future is unpredictable as anything. I have such high confidence and hope in HYPER that I don't see an issue but small things can make big impacts. Also another reason why I feel like we should limit spending is because like Nicholas said it'd take around around 2 omega to stake back up and even if it took longer I don't think that'd be a problem. If more severs are developed and more items are being added and we are still in our time of saving, in my own opinion I feel like if I actually an spring HYPER and am not in it for the money I am okay with waiting for a bounty or some HYPER to help out or whatever.

Tl;Dr : I feel like we should save just to be on the careful side, we are new enough and are prospering enough that it would be best to be safe and save.

Thanks for all the great work I think I'll have to hop on the poker site when I get home from work. Thanks for all the great work everyone, and I how that you all had a good Christmas or a good break! Smiley

I would try to limit spend, keeping alot of HYPER in the development fund seems crucial to me if we look at it in the long term.

Just wanted to say that

Dear HYPER community,

On behalf of The Havekes Project, The Einsteinium Foundation, and EMC2 (the coin) thank you for supporting our crowdfunding campaign as a donor sponsor.

For those who may be unfamiliar, EMC2 is working on a crowd funding campaign to help raise funds for scientific research, it will start soon.  Use this link to see the campaign page coming together: http://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/f5c49cab

Hyperfuture recognized the opportunity to promote your coin as a sponsor and signed onto the campaign early (before the start).   Now your coin not only received the benefit of recognition during the campaign but also during the run-up as well.

You are encouraged to also write a 200 to 1000 word article about your coin or community for inclusion into our intercoin publication The Einsteinium News (www.Einsteinium.biz) .

Thanks again for your donation and campaign participation, please call on us when you feel we can strategically support your coin in your upcoming projects.

Sincerely,

Armis
President
Einsteinium Foundation

Thanks Armis. As well as pushing the boundaries of crypto and gaming I also want HYPER to be socially responsible and donating to The Havekes Project, The Einsteinium Foundation is a perfect fit. I always loved EMC2 as a coin and look forward to further collaboration between our coins in future. I will be in touch later today to finalize the donation Wink

Tested the poker site, runs smoothly.

Master0 fixed the slider bug, so far everything seems in place.
I am currently sitting at a table, really cool that most is built from scratch with room for improvements/additions later on.

Looking forward to some real HYPER action on the tables!

You are welcome to to try it just to confirm Smiley

Just logged on and it was empty, but I'm curious: is this written from scratch? It looks like nothing I've seen in the past in terms of poker software, Smiley.

Hi,
it was midnight for me then and I was asleep Smiley
No need to re-invent the wheel but mostly everything is built from scratch.
The hyperpoker.pw game does not look like regular casino website except for the player table. There is no pictures as it is used to be on casino websites that is why you probably think it is not a regular casino website.

regards Master0

EDIT: I would also like to say the following:  A casino website is created and have investors paying thousand and thousand of dollars.
My aim was not to create a gambling website where you can earn money, instead I created this project for fun, in other word hyperpoker.pw is a place where you can go to play poker for fun:)

Meowball,
Thank you for including me in your Awesome post! Merry Christmas to my hyper family! I wish I had some kind of coding skills so I could help out more, gonna be going back to school in 2016 to get a degree in computer science. But until then all I have is my voice to help out this awesome project.
Thanks.

Even without a degree, you can still learn and become an awesome programmer! I know many people who don't have CS degrees, but with dedication and practice, they become programmers. Once you go back to school to earn a degree, you can become an all-star!  Cheesy

If you would like to learn programming, I can point you to some resources that could be helpful. The important part is to be patient. And at a certain point, something will click in your head, and you'll finally get it.

That would be Awesome! I downloaded msft visual c++ but don't know where to go from there, or if that is even the place to start. any advice or links would be awesome!
Thanks

I would recommend starting with c++. Then you can go for java, php, html and css

It depends what you want to learn. Whatever language you learn, the key is to be patient and learn everything there is about the current thing you're learning. Speeding through will NOT make you a better programmer. A lot of people make this mistake. I know that it can get tiring. It can get frustrating, and you may think speeding through is the easier way out. It's not. It's about learning whatever you're confused about to the point that you understand it. I would recommend checking out Codeacademy and learn Javascript and/or Python to start. Also, a lot of the concepts you learn in one language can be applied to other languages.
