Why receive a gambling license if you weren't going to run the casino? I doubt you need a gambling license just to run the platform. I forsee that they might run their casino the let others license it once they see how popular and easy it is.

Most likely due to the strictness of EU and UK laws on gambling.

The last thing they want to fall foul of is the gambling commission.

Took advantage of the Ripple rally today, flipped and doubled my FUN holdings within 24 hours!!! WOOT!!!  Grin

I gotta tell you folks, it ain't FUN flipping crypto with buggy hardware, just a heads up, if you're flipping crypto using hardware wallets like Ledger Nano, be very careful, especially if you're using the Ledger Ripple wallet, and ShapeShift... You have to include what's called a Destination Tag with the deposit wallet address. If you miss that little tid bit, your crypto goes into limbo, and you have to deal with the help center to get your funds refunded back.... Just an FYI for all you crypto flippin freaks out there!  Wink

They could run their own online casino if they wanted to, but I think their main objective is to sell licensing rights to companies that want to use their software to set up an online casino.

From what I understand they have applied for the Electronic Gambling License and will have a working product at ICE.

Everything about this coin screams undervalued.

Hello everybody. How do you think when the coin will cost $ 1. At whom what opinion on this bill. Thanks for the answer. Good luck to all.

Purely speculation.  The only thing that is predictable with cryptocurrency is that it isn't predictable.  It will be interesting what happens to the price when the platform is released and some casinos go online.  If it makes it to $1 a coin, I'll feel pretty rich!
Supposed to be released January 2018, Isn't it?

According to the company update December 2017:

High level 2018 Outlook:

Q1:

In January we will be submitting to the UK Gambling Commission our application for a Remote Gambling Software License.
In February we will be attending ICE Gaming, an international B2B conferencing event, where we will be introducing the FunFair brand to the gaming industry.
By the end of March V1 of the FunFair blockchain casino nears completion. This release will allow for real FUN to be used on the Main Ethereum Network for the first time.

This is huge. They will essentially run their own casino? If this is true, we may see a nice addition to online casinos. I love their current games right now on the Testnet. They are fast and beautiful to see. I can't wait to use my FUN tokens to gamble!

Besides creating these tokens/coins , is there a way to mine them , and with which algo?
I'm pretty sure this is not a minable token, but it doesn't need to be. Simply mine whatever is profitable, and trade your way in. I got in by mining other alt coins, and exchanging them for Fun through Exodus. Or you could just exchange through ShapeShift directly.

Token Creation Event info
Token Supply
Caps: 5 Billion Soft, 12.5 Billion Hard

FUN Creation will end 12 hours after 5 Billion FUN are issued or on July 7, 2017 at 14:00 UTC (2017-07-21T14:00:00Z), whichever is soonest. If 12.5 Billion FUN are issued, the creation period will end immediately.

Please note that FUN created with ERC20 contributions will not count toward the cap – many ERC20 tokens are too illiquid to provide fair pricing during a token event.

Token Creation Rate
100 FUN will be issued per 1 US Dollar equivalent received

Bitcoin, Zcash, Ether and ERC20 contribution prices will be fixed for the duration of the token event. Finalized prices will be published at or slightly before 1300:00 GMT June 22, 2017.

Accepted Currencies
ETH
BTC
ZCASH
Selected ERC20 tokens (to be announced closer to token event)
Fiat

Bonus structure
Those who contribute during the first $5m USD raised will receive up to 50% in additional FUN tokens, as per the table below. Bonus Tranches will be calculated by summing only the Ethereum contributions made to the crowdsale contract. There will be five bonus tranches.

$0 to $1 million: 50% Bonus

$1 million to $2 million: 40% Bonus

$2 million to $3 million: 30% Bonus

$3 million to $4 million: 20% Bonus

$4 million to $5 million: 10% Bonus

$5 million or higher: No Bonus

Just invested in some fun. I really like any coin that focuses on gambling. My one question for anyone to answer is what $FUN does that cannot already be done with bitcoin or another coin? Why would someone want / need to invest in FUN?

Thanks in advance.

Fate Channel Technology, gives you continual gameplay without having to wait for transactions.  With bitcoin you may have to wait hours just to play the next hand.

Applications for this technology won't be limited to online gambling alone, imagine MMORPG in game transactions using digital currency with real world value. That'll be part of it too later on!.... It won't be "just a game" anymore!  Grin

Honestly I'm okay with FunFair not spiking or getting pumped. I want the growth to be gradual and real.

As with any business venture, I wouldn't expect to see any significant "steady" growth until its product generates hard revenue. Anything short of concrete quarterly earnings is speculation.
