Update:

The story is still worked on, where you (the hero) needs to deliver a package, to a mysterious someone... I'm almost at the end of the main story, give it a couple of months. In the mean while, you should have some fun with the side quests or pvp battles and also-
 
I have finally made a nice coop puzzle map. Ask a friend to join you or play it with splitscreen. But the more the merrier right? You realy need to work together on this one. The map layout is just for functionality, with switches, bridges and rocks to be pushed. In the near future, I will add some more details to it.

 For now see all the mechanics in action, but be carefully for the canon balls and with the bridges that disappear after X seconds.

Just a small update just to let you all know, I'm still alive.

In the next couple of weeks Month's I'm going to implement the blockchain and getting the gold (squares) to be used.

Yes well the coding is pretty done.
The pvp is working to ceate a co-op with orher players.
As wel as the scene creations.

Now I'am just filling with content, quests, puzzles, stories etc.
And more graphics which is most time consuming tonget every pixel just right, will be worth it at the end.
very creative, hopefully all your efforts will run well according to your wishes, keep trying to improve it for the better and keep working, waiting for the latest news from you.

I often see game projects everywhere, but never see that game projects can break records to get hardcap, hopefully you will be the first, fighting.


It will come, but it would take much longer as for I'am on my own without a team. The startup ico or crowdsale is to create a team / company to develop further. So because it is the otherway arround, I figured it won't work, but perhaps it would with a working / playable product.
So I just create vids of the game-play, screenshots of the development side and such, to start a fan-base...

Games with a bunch of quests are very popular. But, that's the problem. There are a lot of them. Your game should be better than others and the players should know about it, then the business will go.

Yes that is true, when you have time you can play the demo to get the feeling about the game. Maybe invite some one for a small pvp game

You have it written. "Players can fight enemies or other players at a private party in an active old school combat system using weapons and magic." I propose to make the game multi-user and with a virtual reality. Imagine you are at a party, and there are a bunch of your colleagues with glasses of virtual reality. What can the party turn out into?

Not sure if this works for 2d tiled based games. However There are some great other projects that implements virtual  3d into the world, decentraland for example.
This game is 2d oriented, to get the old school simplicity and feeling.

As a gamers perspective sometimes the envirement or the visuals doesn't realy matter that much, its the gameplay that is important to get players hooked, Mario is a good example, 2d side scrolling 8bit graphics and still played.

We can do some co-op maps where 2 or more players enter and need to work thogether to get to the finnish, the possibillities are endless never the less.

First pvp minigame is ready.
Treasure chaise... the first player that finds the treasure wins.

Every 3 minuten starts a new game.Where players pay a fee upfront for 10 SQUARES to fill up the chest.
Players are randomly transferred to a 50×50 map where a treasure is hidden on of the tiles, the chest changes location from time to time so everything is based on luck. First player wins the pot + items for participating, where 10% of the SQUARES goes to the system.

After your clarifications it is clear that the project will be interesting. A lot of gamers are ready to shell out a lot of money to improve their weapons, tanks, swords and more.
