We decided to do something good for Christmas then XmasCoin is born.
The intent is to donate a portion of the proceeds (50%) to charitable organizations while the other part will be used to giving more resources to the BlackBox project at a delicate stage.
We are also working to create a context and an ecosystem to guarantee its use throughout the year.

By choosing this kind of name for the coin are not you limiting usage of this coin just for specified purposes ? If you have chosen this ticker it was much more god to set the dates at around Xmas but I can see initial coin offering will keep going even after Xmas and even new year.
We have chosen this name specifically because we are in the Christmas period and we wanted to do something good for both the others and for the BlackBox project.
We initially planned to end on the December 25th but we were aware that we had to work hard to earn your trust then we opted to end after the effective term of the holidays in some European countries ("Epiphany").
This doesn't mean that use of the currency will remain tied to this period.
On the contrary, we are working to create a context and an ecosystem to guarantee its use throughout the year.
Obviously much will depend on how initial coin offering goes.
