I'm really interested in this concept! I've been doing some affiliate marketing here and there, and it's always a concern for the smaller organizations to be playing on an even playing field. If it's a large company, it's usually a fairly safe operation, but makes it tough for smaller companies. Smart contracts are a perfect fit for the industry, it's surprising someone hasn't already done this. I'll be following closely!

this project is really promising, all info on site are well detailed and  there's even a working app for everyone to put hands to see how it works, this shows the team behind this project is working seriously. so i think it could be a good investiment!

Presale starts on 28th of April!
It looks like a beautiful project. I could not find the main forum link. Everything is better understood at the site of the project.

among the sets of companies this one does not stand out, I do not see its further realization in the world.

Thank you, we're very confident that the affiliate/online marketing has a need for a product such as RefToken. So much so that the recent press we've received has already resulted in a few sales enquires, which is an extremely positive sign.

With so many people trying to make it as influencers and affiliate marketers today, this idea makes a lot of sense to me. I do have one question, though. You say that you are going to spend 60% of your budget on hiring new developers and other employees.

My question is: how many developers do you anticipate this project will require, and if you reach your optimal amount of employees then how quickly can we expect this project to get fully developed?

I'm interested. Brilliant question though as I'm a bit curious.

Hi Felp;

Apologies for copy/pasting from above:

Bearing in mind that the 60% expenditure on staff includes sales and marketing, legal, finance, support and all other functions that our company will require, we envisage to have a team of 10-12 in the core dev team. We have a conservative timeline of beta in 2018 and mid 2019 for the full product launch.

Correct, running a SAAS platform such as this at scale (and we have all intention of making it scale fast to corner the market) involves an aggressive sales and marketing teams (by geo due to language (/timezone constraints), account management (again, a couple of teams for different markets), finance, legal, support, technical support, development etc. It adds up very fast, however our management team has experience in running companies at this scale, so we have a clear understanding on how to structure this to be the most cost effective and efficient as possible.

I see the graph shows the percentages of the distribution, but do you have data on total tokens that will be issued?

Hi Edgar;

50M tokens will be issued.

Looking good guys.

Quick question on this. I see the graph shows the percentages of the distribution, but do you have data on total tokens that will be issued?

I'm sure it's in the whitepaper, but I'm a bit lazy.

Hi;

Total token issuance will be 50M, with 30% of those held in a market making fund. This fund will be used to protect against pump and dumps, so will be off the market for 99% of the time.

would love to hear someone who was into affiliate marketing and ads business in general give some thoughts on this...
far too many vague statements in this whitepaper for me, would love some clarity.
Also, don't pay too much attention to the finance forecast at the end, things never go as planned.

I am a web developer in a marketing agency and have helped put together and run many affiliate ad campaigns. For huge companies affiliate marketing is not bad at all, you do what they want, they pay you. But smaller companies or even companies that just haven't got it set up yet, is a huge pain. I could see this being a major help for those guys! When an affiliate program is just set up it is usually quite complicated and there is always the risk of if the company will actually pay the affiliate salesman. This would take out that worry. I think taking out that worry alone would make a new affiliate marketing program take off much faster than they have in the past.
