To be honest, it looks like Jani just pulled this info straight out of his ass. It's not really news; just a random date that conveniently falls just before Q4 is over Undecided

It's just a typo... They spent the entire 2016 working on this project to release it before end of Q4, why would he be pulling date of his ass?

They always release stuff on TUESDAYS, so most likely Tue 27 Dec is the official date & Tue 20 Dec is date for early testing access.
