Not true at all, the iconomi team didn't say "invest in icn, so you will be able to trade on polo" but yeah... a lot of users are waiting poloniex (that's sure) most importantly the whales.
Yeah i would agree they are not saying that but surely many people speculates that ICN will be added since this coin is a great project been made and accumulated huge funds from their crowdfunding and many of us though that poloniex addition will be done faster to earn profits on this token but seems expectation turn down since many people got pissed off and dump their tokens.
Love or hate it, Poloniex is the current equivalent of Nasdaq for Altcoins.
Saying that Kraken is enough for ICN, is like saying that the Mexican stock exchange is enough for some stock.

I think the same, kraken is not the best for the altcoins.... iconomi needs at least poloniex. (After bittrex & all the other minor exchange).

ICONOMI is mid to long term business, and I think it is best if we use our resources for business and platform development, rather than pursuing goals that would benefit short term speculators... In this view, Polo is completely irrelevant, as we are listed on a tier1 exchange (Kraken) + you have etherdelta which is next gen exchange (you are safer using it than classical exchange in case of attack/exploit of exchange)...

No polo now, no progress, I think unless icn implement the real thing releases, or the change to list on polo is 0, even bittrex ignores icn.

Bittrex is even more important than kranken, kranken is fiat exchange, most of bitcoin lovers do not trade alt at all, so i guess more than half there do not even know icn
