How long can we keep our ICN on ICONOMI site? What if we dont withdraw it to eth wallet?
Right now, we're actually supposed to be giving them the address to deposit the ETH as I understand it, but it could end up being like lisk where they give you the address(s) and keys they deposited the tokens into for each purchase. Either way, the ETH address is universal, so you will be able to access it natively from any ETH wallet supporting ETH subtokens providing you have the address and key. This is the nature of all cryptocurrencies I know of, so...  "Keeping it on the site" is a relative term. If they issue addresses and keys, then by "leaving it on the site, you're leaving it open for attack by default. Because anyone who can login with your credentials has access = risk. Granted, 2FA SHOULD protect you, but lose your phone or anything and you give the phone finder your coin.

It would be safest by simply creating a paper wallet while offline, and rebooting before going back online, then transfer the tokens to that ETH address. Done, secure vault... It's very easy. I like to fold & laminate several of them with simple clear parcel tape so sealed tight (keys hidden inside and waterproof) and I enjoy the idea of having totally secure exclusive access from a handy qr code in my wallet or in a safe place. In this way anyone can carry an endless amount of assets around and across borders with no cash or electronic equipment, no bank check to deposit or wait on clearing in a foreign country. Try getting on an American flight with 20k cash or more sometime... hehe.
Soo Cool that ICN will also have visa debit card access! Noting though that part would indeed involve site security. So yes with that in mind you CAN store them there, and just use the debit card to reduce your shares and asset wealth on sucking down an Starbucks over-priced frothy-Latte' hehe.

Future Comment: "Help please... I went to the Lambo dealer with my founder's club debit card and they told me the green one was over my daily withdraw limit, what to do?" Answer: Buy the red one and trade it for the one that "Chase" has. (other ICO participant) Chances are he left a kilo or two in the glove box.  Wink

Well i hope they make a simple tutorial for people that are newbies in crypto world. I know some stuff about crypto and still have problems to create ETH wallet with Mist.

There will be step by step tutorial of how to manage ICN from Mist. However, that is not something for newbies in crypto world - still too complicated for them. Might be hard to believe for you, but is true.

Hi Iconomi team and everybody else
How about adding a withdraw option (after all credentials, email and 2FA process) that acts like a long term vault? User can choose to turn it on and it means that withdraw won't happen immediately but after a predefined  amount in which the account holder will be notified by email/phone and can cncel the withdraw process at any time
Just to add another layer of security for storing the tokens online

Good suggestion!

Thx! Good suggestion. Something like that will come out at the beginning for those who will keep ICNs with us already. Like a delayed withdrawal for security purposes.

Hi I have ICONOMI to you a question.

I tried to attach the unique code for the blog in steemit and found out that to records left more than a month ago it is impossible to write even the comment.

How to confirm me the blog?

Steeemit is special case here. Please create a new post under same username as your Blog post and put ICONOMI code in the title.

Hi all

I posted this question on telegram group, but got no reply, so I will try here as well.
I thought about that paradox in regards to the index, your thoughts are highly appreciated:
Index goes up, it gets more attractive to investors and they start to buy-in. Since the index is within the same domain as the entities it tracks, it will may have a direct affect. Once certain coin gets dominant, ppl usually sell their other holdings in order to buy. I saw it happens with etc and monero in the last few months. When it happens all other coins move to red.
Since that one actually track those coins, it will have a direct impact on the index itself.
Is this something that can actually happen and act as sort of a mutual negative feedback (like a self balancing)?

If ICNX started to pump and its' underlying assets were dumping, then arbitrage traders would be selling ICNX and buying the underlying assets, in order to bring the prices back into equilibrium.

The opposite would also happen.  If a coin in the index, like Lisk, pumps up 20x in 2017, then arbitrage traders would be selling Lisk and buying ICNX, until the prices back to equilibrium.
Why do you assume that traders will sell when index or coin is pumped AND be buying other asset from within the index with 100% of the profits made? They may just keep the profits and decide to re-buy just 10% of them

The market will reach equilibrium.  Here's an example:

- Say ICNX is holding cryptos with a total net-asset-value of 5000 BTC and ICNX market cap is at exactly 5000 BTC - that's equilibrium

- Lisk price pumps massively, and now ICNX is holding cryptos with a total net-asset-value of 7000 BTC

- The market recognizes that ICNX market cap of 5000 BTC is now under-valued compared to the 7000 BTC worth of cryptos it holds

- The market now buys up ICNX until market cap is brought up to 7000 BTC - back to equilibrium
(some of the money for this ICNX buying would be coming from people selling Lisk to take profits too, so equilibrium may be reached somewhere below 7000 BTC)

You were asking, what happens if people pump the price of ICNX up above net-asset-value.  In that case the market would buy the underlying assets and/or sell ICNX until the prices reach equilibrium again.

Thank you MoveCrypto. You understand this very well. And thanks for explanation of dynamics here.

I was in NYC last week and lawyers there talk 6 digit figures and our PR agency is located right on Wall Street - they for sure are not the cheapest - but are very much needed.

Jani, my opinion of you, and my belief that ICONMI is going to be a "to da moon" success, just went up even higher... by a lot.

I like that woman, can she marry me if I hold 1 million iconomi?   Kiss  Haha, just kidding.

I can't wait for coin distribution. Have you contacted poloniex the best team?  Grin

Please no such jokes. How can we get more ladies into crypto with such comments?

We're not commenting anything regarding exchanges.
@Iconomi - can you comment on the total amount of people you have hired? What is the number of people being paid, and how long, approximately, you think it will take for the team to "burn" the funds?
I am not complaining, just would like to know how long before the platform will have to be profitable enough in order to pay for its own dev and maintenance. I am 100& aware that A and A+ devs and employees in general cost pretty much the same around the globe

Right now we are:
- 2 cofounders + an advisor basically on close to same level of dedication as us two
- 4 developers. 2 more onboarding right now
- 1 designer being onboarded right now as well
- 1 legal
- 1 product guy coming from Berlin on 16th October
- 2 in communications / marketing
- 1 financial guy

The thing is, that we started hiring before ICO ended as well as looking for new office space to rent. And we were actually warming people that were able to join right now almost since the beginning of this year. All that because if we would start with all that right now, we wouldn't be able to have team as of right now before year ends. You can't get A+ players right off the shelf in a week to say.

How long to burn the funds I can't say right now. Could be that legal is something we'll have to pay a lot for. I would say we are good for at least 5years (that would be $2m per year, which we are far from burning right now... but let's take into account that there might be some unexpected costs). Additionally to that. I was in NYC last week and lawyers there talk 6 digit figures and our PR agency is located right on Wall Street - they for sure are not the cheapest - but are very much needed.

@ICONOMI,

I invested 5 btc but did not receive an email about the visa card.  Will i be receiving one in the future?  Now granted at the time the emails first went out for the free cards I had not achieved that funding level yet, but I did before the ICO ended.  I just don't want to be left out.

Pm sent for signature bounty.
With 4k+ twitter followers I earned
Total: 7520 stakes
Estimated ICN to receive: 358.48 ICN
This is very low payment for twitter participants.i believe there will be no big difference in amount after excluded the spammer.because all the spammers now corrected themselves by undo all spam detective tweets from iconomi and they are still not banned.lets see what will be the so called final balance for twitter.
Thanx

With all these bounty hunters it makes you think you should sell before they get
their bounties and buy back after they have sold. Anyone know if ICN is going
to be on an exchange once the token are issued (before bounty hunters get theirs)?

hehe the entire 2%? Considering the demand... big gamble there imho.
Getting another 2% interested in purchasing ICN shouldn't be difficult.
But it's your gamble to make...  Wink

so, 3FA, 4FA, 5FA? hehe, stack'em up
...stack enough of them and you could get yourself in a pickle.... trash your phone on sms, or G2FA, or lose access to an email address and you'll be crying. Any one point could prevent you from access.

Maybe do something like a multisig where you have 5 registered but only need any combo of 3 to access.

They had 3 more Days to check this. Prob ICONOMI team will check some abuses.

I doubt that to check enough 3 days. Many participants in the bounty of the company have committed massive violations.
